Why do some women wear a lot of make up?

I think that there is a real huge pressure on women to look good in the modern day society. Because of this, many women believe that they have to wear a large amount of make up in order to reach this unrealistic aim that people seem to feel that they need to reach. A lot of people also hide behind their make up, and seem to think that they can be the person they want to be if they cover their skin in make up, when in actual fact they are still exactly the same person that they were before they put their make up on.

Maybe because they feel more beautiful when lots of make up are on their face. Maybe it adds confidence to their overall persona... I don't exactly know what could be the reason... But in my opinion, it is not good to wear a lot of make up... Light make ups will do...

In my teenage years I used to experiment at wearing make up and I carried on doing that in my early twenties. I don't wear any make up at all now that I am in my late thirties.

Maybe some women really dunno what that enough is, some really love to have colours on their face, and maybe some think their face are a colouring book I also wear make up but not always especially when I'm going out and the weather is too hot. Have a nice day!

I guess it depends on what your definition of a lot is. Perhaps some women don't know how to do their make right. Or others who want to cover up flaws, or just like a lot of makeup. I like makeup or should say love. I where more than one thing, but it looks nice and fits me. I like to where foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss. I don't know if that's your definition of a lot but it looks good and it doesn't look like i painted my face.

Some women are insecure and need it to feel good about themselves. That's the more obvious answer at least. I don't wear make-up usually, but when I do, it's because I want to feel pretty. One of my friends, who wears make-up everyday does it because she's really into art and to her, it's art. Which in a way makes sense. It's a painting you get to do everyday. And if you don't like it you can wash it off. And you can change it everyday. And it looks very pretty. And it's fun.

some women wear a lot of make up to cover up flaws on their faces while some use it to highlight a beautiful part of their face like for example if they have nice kissable lips they wear very red lipstick or if they have nice dramatic eyes they use excessive amount of liquid eyeliner and mascara to bring attention to their eyes or if they have nice prominent cheek bones putting on a fairly good amount of blush on will bring the eyes of the beholder to that part of the face. a good example of women who wear excessive eye make up is the most beautiful woman on earth ...Cleopatra!

Make up does a lot of things for women. It can make them feel secure and comfortable. Wearing make up also makes them more assertive and it is their way of their thoughts about being a woman. Women love wearing make up because make up is intended for women!

Well, wearing make up is not wrong at all. There's nothing wrong about it. But if women wear a lot of makeup, I think that's because they're insecure. Or they're not confident with how their real face looks.
