While you can make some money on the internet,I suggest you keep looking for a real job. Unless you're financially secure, you aren't going to make a living with internet jobs. If you do find something like that let us all know. Everyone on here is looking for that. Good luck.

Hello Kate, first of all, welcome to mylot. Yes, there are lots of scams in the internet so be careful always and make sure that you do a research well about the company/site that you will be joining. There are lots of home base jobs but indeed, it is really difficult to find a stable one. Always uphold perseverance and never give up. Use your talents and skills effective in order to find a job suitable for you.

Hi Kate and welcome! I want you to know that you are right to be sceptical of people trying to scam you on the web. I have been earning an income at home for about three years now, and while I still work at a real job, I have 1ndeed found that there are many ways to make money at home. You have to realize that there is NO WAY to make money overnight, online or otherwise. Any business that you start is going to take time to build. It will build faster if you treat it like a business and devote time to it everyday, but the payoff is slow. I started making money online by writing articles for several different sites, and I made hundreds of dollars a year in residual income, but it did not come in all at once. I still have hundreds of articles that earn me a little income, but my main site (eHow.com) shut down and nowIi was back to square one! Now I am part of a Network Marketing company, and before you push the idea aside,I think you should check it out. My web page is availible right on my profile, and if you are interested, watch the first few videos. I will not spam you. if you want to opt out of future mail it takes one second. Hope you check it out!

There are a few legit companies that hire people to work customer service from their homes. Teletech and West at Home are 2 of the biggest ones. I believe they start at 10 per hour and you might be taking calls for UPS or Home Depot. Not too bad and you get to work at home.

One basic rule in getting home based jobs is never pay just to get the promised job. It is definitely a scam. Go to sites that offer online jobs as freelancer.com where you have to bid for jobs. Registration is free. You can also go to Odesk, which is also free. These are two good site where employers have jobs for their chosen worker or employee.

Don't go to websites that requires you to pay some money so that you will get something to work.
