Tonight is Halloween and along with all the kids doing there trick or treat thing, many evil persons are out and about. The torture and killing of cats and dogs is common during this time. please make sure that you four legged family members are lock us safe and sound.

This is also a night of black magic and the life of an animal, especially a black one is power that can be transferred to humans? Some people will use any excuse to kill, unfortunate but true.

Mine are always kept within my reach. They are in house dogs and are always safe.

How sad that there are such cruel sick individuals out there! We don’t celebrate Halloween here officially but some of our children including my daughter do go trick or treating. I haven’t heard of cruelty to pets at this time and hope I never do. Good on you for posting this, I hope many took your advice on the day.

We always make sure that our cats are in for this night, and also for July 4. The only cat that really wants to be out and about it is my black cat of course. She is wanting out now, but it is still light out and the kids are not home from school yet.

Halloween is my favorite holiday by far, but I do fear animals safety because people do stupid stuff. I have a pit bull and a Lab/boxer. They would defend each other if someone tryed to take one. My 2 cats are indoor cats, so they should be safe. We are also at the end of the road and for some reason, people are scared to come on our property. Its a blessing really. If someone hurt my babies, and I find out who it is, it will be the last thing they will do.

OMG I never heard of this before. That is so horrible. I lived in New York for most of my life and never saw or heard of such things. My dog is always inside unless he needs to take care of his business. I'm living in Puerto Rico now and in my area there is no trick or treating going on. I'm so happy because I'm not so crazy about this holiday anymore. When I was a kid I liked it but now I just get to see my grandkids all dressed up on skype and pictures. Its a shame that people can be so mean and nasty on this day that is for the kids.

Until recently we hadn't celebrated Halloween here. But they started to celebrate it a few years ago. Being an imported holiday it doesn't have too much fun and there are only a few people that really celebrate it. I felt it strange when I saw some kids dressed up in wizards and witches tonight. Even Binne wasn't very impressed by their costumes and, for the first time in her life, she barked at those kids. (she usually loves kids and wants to play with them) So it is a good advice to keep your dogs and cats under supervision, as they may get scared and attack the costumed visitors when you less expect this.
