Magic carpet ride?

Today, another Wednesday, means trash and, of course, cat boxes. We have a rolling cart that I put 2 of the trash cans on to roll them out of the house and to the trash can. However, last weekend we brought back the Christmas tub from the party and put the Christmas presents back in it, and left it sitting on the rolling cart, because it has to be SOME place, might as well combine them and take up half the space - right? But, I needed the cart to bring in the cat litter buckets from the car and then to put the trash cans on to take out, so the tub needed to be moved. Now, this is a pretty good sized tub because we got this adorable present for the roomie's great-niece. And we have quite a few other presents to go in it too. So, the other roommate had put the dog's blanket on top of the tub to get it up off the floor and out of the "crate," a/k/a the bathroom, where the dog sleeps. She used to sleep with the roomie but she started barking in the middle of the night and waking all of us up when the other roommate walked past the roomie's bedroom, so we had to do something - NONE of us like to be rudely awakened like that! ANYWAY... so the blanket was on top of the tub and Nef and Ping were sleeping up there. Just before the roomie went to move it, Rygel jumped up on it too. Thinking the lot of them would leave as soon as she picked it up, the roomie left them there and moved the tub off the cart... only to have an additional 30 lbs she had to move because they DIDN'T! Yes, Rygel left right after she put it down, but the other two continued to lay there, kind of looking around like... "hummm, our world just changed." I think when I was doing the boxes finally got them off the tub, but only after I almost dropped an empty box on Nef's head! So, are your cats that lazy? or trusting?
