How do you overcome a depression?

Sometimes, we live special moment through our life where we cross throug one or more problems which makes us feeling depressed. The problems we might suffer are very different, so also every person to resist those ones, as we react on different ways. How do you usually overcome a depression? What do you do to resolve it?

hi, actually i hate my self when depression come to my life,so to avoid this or to overcome this i usually eat what i want and also take more time to my friends,so i will gradually forget my depression.

Not everybody is able to stay with friends when a depression overcomes. Usually, people prefer to stay allone. But it's very positiv to rest with friends who are able to overcome such situation. Thanks for your post.

I guess when you get what you want or what caused you to be depressed. Take my example, I think I suffer from anhedonia or internal depression. Even though I smile and laugh I am not "HAPPY". I will be happy when I see myself where I have imagined myself to be. So I guess that pretty much answers your question.

That means that you need to stay activ even being depressed to get there where you want to stay. The point is that many persons don't conserve the motivation to carry on with when they stay depressive during a while. It's difficult, but I also try to do so. Sometimes, the way to get there where you want to be is long, even so we can reach it whenever we want. Thank you for your nice response.

My ways to overcome depression cost money hence I am cash strapped....these are the things I do.....I go shopping...shop until you drop LOL!....I travel....domestic or international, it would help you......socialize, meet people.....and most of all....go to pray, this is free but priceless....feel God's presence in your life...Ciao!

Shopping, travelling, it's a very interesting treatment, but you are right, it's expencive! ;-) At the moment I keep on praying and meeting my friends. Thanks for your post.

Hi,camomile~ For me,I just listen to music.Rap and rock usually makes me feel better.Or I just hit the pillow and cry,let my emotions out.Usually these two methods will get me out of depression. Hope we can both feel happy and positive most of the time~ Have a nice day~

You are right, crying may help sometimes and I would like to do so, but sometimes I feel my eyes dry. Tears just don't come out. Thanks for your post.
