Christmas is coming up, and as usual, lots of Christmas Parties to attend to. Some, I have to organize myself with the help of my friends. Like last year, I was in charge with the games. I planned several games, some I searched over the internet, some I just invented, and some, common parlor games I am familiar with. I am running of ideas for a unique game, Can some of you please suggest a parlor game that you play in your country. I might pick up some that I can use in our next parties. Any kind of game will be welcomed, physical game, mental, adult/naughty games. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Bhonti! I have 2 games in mind that will really make your gang grow wild with laughter. I honestly dont know the name of these games though. First game. Form 4 groups of 5 members each. Blindfold all members of the group except one member of each group. Then, you put those without blindfolds in the 4 corners of the room. Then, you are to scatter all the blindfolded members. Then, you assign each group to represent an animal; for example dog, cat, goat and monkey. The goal here is that... all members of the group should be back together in the shortest time possible. How do they do this? All of them are to mimic the sound of the animal that they are assigned with. This may come really noisy but it sure is goofy and fun!!! The first group who comes reunited wins. The second game is goofier than the first. It is almost like charades though. Form 2 groups to compete each other. In each group, there would only be one guesser; while the rest of the members would act. Now, what would they be acting out? There would be two jars where the group would draw lots from. The first jar is an action word like jumping, crying or rolling; while the second jar would be animals. Just imagine, if they pick out jumping monkey; then the whole group would be jumping like crazy monkeys until their guesser finally solves it. It is sooooooooo goofy!!!

I already implemented the first game you suggested. It was really goofy and noisy but definitely a lot of fun! We usually that to form groups. I make them pick from a pile of papers where an animal is written, usually four groups of animal, and then blindfold all of them and they have to look for their members by mimicking the sound of the animal they picked. Same implementation really. Now, the second one is interesting, I would like to do that in one of our parties. That would be so fun! Thanks very much for the inputs. :)

When I was in elementary and in high school, I can still remember we always had Christmas Party every December. The games played were fun. One of this is the paper dance. I would recommend that you play this kind of game and surely your Christmas party will be awesome. I hope you will enjoy the party. I believe you will be able to manage. Oh, I miss those days. I am already in college.

I am already working and we still have Christmas Parties. Each formy set of friends, Highschool, college and work. It's so much fun. I suggest you do that too. Paper dance is a bit usual for me, thanks for the suggestion anyway. I'll try to make variation on this game to make it more fun.

Oh thanks for reminding this, our Christmas here in the office is also approaching too. I wonder what will be the prizes this time, last year the grand prize for the raffle was a 21-inch Flat Screen television set. That's what I am more excited about. Anyway, going back to your discussion, I can recommend PINOY HENYO wherein someone will guess the word that sticks into your forehead. That's more fun and very Pinoy idea.
