Lindsey Lohan and Jail is a Joke!

Lindsey Lohan as been in and out of jail so many times; and still to me its all a joke to her. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating her probation and she is out within 4 to 5 hours. So, to me she considers this whole thing a big joke and she doesn't really care how many times she is sentenced to jail. She will not learn her lesson as long as the system is working like this. She will continue to violate her probation and end up doing worse things until the judge gives her 6 months or more in jail where she has to serve the entire sentence. If this doesn't happen soon this will continue until she is found dead. Then who will everyone be blaming??

I have a suggestion that would serve justice and see that she serves her full term. Order her to do community service on one of the many Native American Reservations in AZ and NM that would put her in the middle of nowhere. She would not even have to do any service just being totally isolated. She would have to live in a totally different environment and different culture. If this were her punishment to remove her from everything that she is familiar with could be a major deterrent to her.

Living in New Mexico for three years myself, I think that is a great suggestion. Then maybe she would get her act together and grow up already.

She obviously is not a good candidate for probation because she keeps violating it. Probation is a privilege and since she refuses to abide by the conditions of the probation then the judge should just revoke the probation and sentence her to at least 6 months jail as you mentioned so she'll have to serve more than a few hours. If she's only going to serve 4-5 hours then why bother, just tag her a hefty court cost fee and call it a day. At least then someone is getting compensation opposed to the wasting of the court and jail's time and resources that we see now.

I believe the judges are just to easy on her and its just not fair. If that was you or me we would be doing the whole 30 days.

It is a sad thing when someone who had so much could let it all go down the drain.

Any celeb going to jail is a joke. They have the bucks so they think they can just buck the system. Even when they are in jail, they're not in GP so they're not really facing the reality of the situation. I have no sympathy for any celeb who messes up. I liked Lohan in Parent Trap but since becoming an adult she has gone off the deep end and expects the ptb to let her hog the lifeline.

Alaskanray - I agree it is a joke. I also think they know that it is a joke. It's all for media hype. They know that they will never serve the sentence whatever it is. It just makes me sick.

I totally agree with you. They all get away with being bad. There are no real consequences to their actions and that is why they keep playing these games with the system. Yes I liked her the Parent Trap to and she had so much protential but she as an adult she has let it all go to waste. I guess having the parents that she has doesn't help either.

I think when someone becomes adult it's not really a matter of blaming, she could at least want to turn her life around like going to rehab, failing, going again, stop drinking, going back as she fails but we never get there if we don't try, she just don't try. But did you see her parents? They are crazy loosers...her sister even changed her whole face, wich makes me think there's something really wrong with that family. So sad...

Yes the family is completely clueless. Its like they are all wannebe's in the busy following on Lindsey's coattails. However, now they have all fallen apart and need big time counseling.

You are right sometimes being a judge is like being a father or a teacher, because we have to save the children of themselves , in this case the judge have to take control of the situation and put her in jail, to give her a lesson , but not only 1 month, she have to new there receiving psychological treatment until she is fine

lelin1123, It is a joke indeed and I really could not be bothered if she will mend when it is quite obvious with this. However, I just have to wonder if there's still such a thing called justice in the legal system in America where it seems like the rich and famous could walkaway Scott-free from their crimes committed. What would become of this world? I dare not predict or would want to see.

You are so right. I think there are to separate legal systems in America. One is for the rich and famous and the other is for the poor.

I really don't understand the system sometimes. It seems the celebrities always get away with stuff. Money apparently can get them out of everything and anything. It really is ashame. She will never learn from her mistakes. Eventually like you said, something tragic will probably happen to her. Then the family will cry "why? oh why?". I'm so sick of hearing about her and others like her on the news. Now I just switch the channel when these stories come up.

Yes, I do the same thing because I'm so sick of her and the rest of them. They let stardom go to their heads and think they can get away with everything.

She is not taking it serious due to the little time she is serving. Once the judge gives her 6 months or a year and she has to complete the whole sentence maybe then she will learn. Until that happens she will treat this all as a joke.
