I've read this quote in a magazine once when I was young and it got stuck to my head until today. Whenever men and women are compared by strength and smarts, my thoughts always go back to that one quote. "Even the weakest of all of from the weaker gender has a heart stronger than a man's" I don't know what made the one who wrote that quote write it. Who knows? It could be true. What do you think? Sorry, I don't know who wrote it really. Just a clue, it came from a men's magazine for adults. yeah, yeah, i admit, i snooped around some boy's magazine out of curiosity LOL!

In my opinion, they said women's heart are much stronger than men because men are much exposed to greater activities than women. Women's actions are limited to such conditions brought about by our understanding and cultures about the roles of women in this world and the roles of men also in this world. Both have different activities in life, however, the fact that Men are born to be of greater weight in capacity they have derived from their ancestral clans. Though there are women also who have big bodies like men, or either way, it does not mean they have a stronger heart or weaker one, The issue was brought for the readers to understand what are the causes and reasons and prevention to give information that will give awareness about facts they have gathered to be aware and have that opinion thinking. It does not literally mean that those weak gender have strong hearts, it only implies that, those weak people regardless in gender can have strong hearts if they know how to take care of themselves well in a healthy lifestyle. There are some men who have a weaker hearts like when it comes to love and affection, that others tend to cannot recover from that ill-pain they got, some have weaker hearts by medical condition but have a strong fighting spirit making themselves feel to have a stronger heart.

this can probably be because women can easily cry their hearts out while men cannot just do it and try to fight the surge of emotions and the urge to cry. i learned that crying can make the heart strong. the effort of keeping the heartaches and grudges inside and not let them out could weaken the heart. unfortunately, i do not remember the what the study is all about/ or where i read it.

If one looks at this scientifically, it may be true that a woman's heart is stronger. Still, there are many other factors to consider.

@oldgold: are you the same guy who posted before? I believe there are some women who use that method to get what she wants. They exist, there's no denying that but we can't apply it to each woman on earth. Every person is different, as i always say.

See, you admit, women can easily cry. True, it is her best and worst weapon. To trap and to deceive men. More than crying makes your heart strong, crying helps woman to be nearer to what she secretly need.

I think woman got to be strong because she is the one rearing her children. Her children get support from her and therefore she must have all the strength to go on despite many hardships and endure to make it possible for her children to survive. A woman's heart when hurt can also be the hardest to appease and fury is unimaginable but always as tender as it is because she's a woman with so much love in her heart.

Women are stronger than men emotionally and mentally. Women are good at multitasking and men aren't. Women can text and have a conversation at the same time but men they can only focus on one or the other. Men can have just one task for the day and they complain about that one task but women can do about 10 task and not even complain until that 10 becomes a 20 or a 30.

i'd say yes to that. A lot of women have a heart stronger than any mans because women knows how to cry out their emotion, must it be happiness, anger, love, guilt, name any emotions one can have, women knows how to let it out. Men dont cry, dont yell much, they always keep everything to themselves, they dont know that those acts makes their heart weak.. That is why i always tell my husband to "its ok to cry" :-)

different people have different concepts. For me, crying doesn't mean you are strong nor weak at heart. It's simply just an act resulting from grief, sadness. While on the subject of crying, it is said to be therapeutic, it will cause less strain to the heart than just keeping all those emotions bottled up.

It is 100% right. In any decisive and critical situations, man wavers and goes nut; but woman becomes bold and clear about it. No wonder, however strong, rough and arrogant men (myself included) pretend to be, or believe to be, in moments of crisis, tension etc, men need a tender feminine shoulder to lean on !!

^^ I didn't expect this from a male responser. It's great to have someone open-minded about this discussion, like you. Now i don't want to criticize men for being weak at heart (though at times, they prove just how right this is) We can't generalize because people have their respective and unique personalities. one male may cower but another may be brave.

woah there, oldgold. Calm down. Just saying that there are men who are weak. I'm not saying every man is weak. Not everyone is the same after all. Women also get weak at heart, but not all, certainly not all. We are not trying to argue here. The discussion is only about a quote which i found intriguing and may have some merits. You sounded like someone who is blaming a woman for everything. And here i thought you were rather open. Disappointing...

I would say that it can be true. Maybe a woman does have stronger heart because they are able to handle emotions better than men.. and women talk about their issues unlike men who does not want or would prefer to not talk about anything at all... http://www.afsp.org/index.cfm?page_id=04ECB949-C3D9-5FFA-DA9C65C381BAAEC0 not a referral link

I think emotional women can and do take a lot more. Men take more physically. Is it an even trade I am not exactly sure. Women do have strong hearts, we have to be able to bear children and all of those hormones. We are trained from childhood how to use our hearts when most men are being trained how to use their hands. And as far as smarts I guess it just depends on what you pick up along the way.

Very informative! Thank you!^^ I'm relieved that people didn't take this personally. I was kind of expecting some sexist around here to argue over the point. -phew-

I think we are because society expects too much from us (not that I do it anyway): we have to get married in a certain age, we "should" forgive the guy when he cheats while if we do it we are a sl*t...I think it's all wrong and I don't follow the rules, but being repressed the way women are we surely become stronger than them.

Yes! I think it's unfair that women are called sl-t for cheating, while cheaters who are men are even praised if they did it successful. sometimes if a certain husband doesn't, his friends coax him into cheating and his female co-workers seduce him. Women have more roles nowadays compared to before. It also makes women more tough, not only did they have to deal with work problems but they have to think as a mother caring for her family, husband and children. It's overwhelming!

Not so sure about it. But maybe right, women is more stronger because a woman can cry out all her pain. But men can't. Men normally keeps it all up in his heart. So when it explode you can just imagine what he'll do.

I think the quote was not really based on women crying over things. I think there's more. Women, throughout all the centuries, have endured things that men have not. For example, societies long ago have found it ideal for women not to work but instead stay at home, do housework, marry at a certain age, have children, etc. And now, there are still some bias against a woman's function in society. A woman has to bear all this along with other responsibilities.

Yeh sure. It is stronger though she pretends, for her own hidden benefits, it to be weaker !!

I think that a woman's heart needs to be stronger than men in order to raise better generation. It's not an option but a need. Plus women can just cry herself out if it seems to be too much already and she can be good to go again after that.
