I have always been interested in the Titanic because my grandfather was on a ship in the Atlantic the night the Titanic sank (there were about 100 ships at sea that night) so i am thrilled to see that there is a new British mini series coming out called "Blood and Steel' and the star is Chris Noth (Logan on Law and ORder and Big on S** in the City). Anyone know any details?

I'm also interested in the Titanic because I was born on the anniversary of the day it hit the iceberg. I loved the movie, Titanic, not because of the love story but because they stuck very close to the known facts of the real Titanic and because they showed a lot of footage taken when they first found and filmed the sunken ship. This new miniseries sounds interesting so I'll be looking for it, even though this is the first I've heard of it. Do you know if it will be available in the US?

This is the first time tat I've heard that a new mini series about the Titanic is being worked on, but I can definitely tell you that I would like to see it when it is available here in the United States. I really can't explain why it is that I have always had a high interest in the Titanic, but it is one of the few things that I can think about in history that has always held my interest to a great degree.

I too have had an interest in the story of the "Titanic"..It has never been far from memory of the communities of those who built or worked on Her,or survivors of those who travelled in Her and the Public touched by the Disaster at the time or since then. Various productions and dramatisations have been released, not least James Cameron's take, filmed using actual dive footage on the wreck..Belfast,here in Northern Ireland where She was built is creating a "Titanic Quarter" development around the part of the city enclosing the Shipyard. Your mention of this miniseries is news to me,so have nothing to add but that I'll look out for it on release, which presumably will be tied in with the Centennial event..I was reading also that Cameron's "Titanic" will be getting a 3D re-release for the event,too..

No....but I have read and watched everything I can on the whole situation. When I was younger my parents had a copy of a book that was written right after it sank! It was so interesting. I loved the movie.....love seeing anything that has to do with what happened.
