When stressed do you eat or stop eating?

When I'm stressed I eat a lot, I crave for sweets and chocolates and ice cream... But when I really really depressed I don't have the strength to eat more... Usually I eat junk foods when stressed LOL.... How about you?

hey, i don't go for anything to eat when i get stressed, i go to calm place and think about the reason about my stress. I try to get rid off the stress with a solution.

Like you when I get stressed or just feeling down I will head over to the bay and take some crafting and sit and listen to the lapping of the water. Watching the fish jumping out of the water and playing with the squirrels and birds (always take something to feed them) that pretty much takes care of my depression and I forget everything else

When I get stressed, it's usually due to my work so I don't have time to eat properly. And I eat junk foods because it's fast and easy. I eat a lot when I am bored and when I am wathcing tv. When I am depresses I drink a lot of coffee for some reason!

When I'm stressed. I lost my appetite. When stressed, I always emotional. And sometimes I get angry, without cause, and make people around me, to be uncomfortable.

hello, When I am stressed I love to eat and crave for something. Well, of course depends on my mood. I love eating especially sweets and ice cream as well because it is like a stress reliever and it really help me to get out from stressed.

we're the same..i also crave a lot and eat a lot when i'm stressed..i just love eating when i'm in that state..but when i'm depressed, my appetite is bad..i frequently skip meals if i'm depressed..

When I get stressed out I stop eating. Well not all together but I'll just pick at my food and barely eat. However, if I'm down and depressed over something I want ice cream or warm gooey brownines. It's like these two foods can cure anything! LOL

nope! not even a bite... most of the time that i am stressed i usually forget if i have ate or not... i am too drawn about what i must do and forget about other stuff and yes even eating... last time i was too stressed out i drop my weight like crazy. a friend told me that i was too thin... very thin. i didn't even notice that i lost a lot of weight it she gave me a shake in the head... i always have 53kgs but then all of a sudden it was like 45 kg... i was under weight too that time.

Hi there. When I'm stressed out, I also love eating a lot of food. I love eating the food that I'm really craving to eat. I want to eat fried chicken, macaroni soup, chicken burger, french fries, spaghetti, ice cream, chocolates and some more food that I really like. When I would be able to eat those food that I'm longing to eat, the stress I'm feeling would be a bit relieved. There was a certain point in my life that I think I felt really so sad because I didn't like the things that were happening around me. That time, I think I ate a lot of delicious food that I could see on the table. I even ate most of the chocolates we had in the refrigerator. It was summer vacation that time. When I went back to work after the vacation, one of my co-workers said that I gained weight. He said I wasn't that skinny anymore. I think it was because of what I did that summer. I really ate a lot and I devoured the chocolates we had in our home. Actually, I found it hard to wear some of my pants. I think I couldn't close the zipper and the button well because my waist became a bit bigger. Now, I became skinny again. I think I would still like to eat a lot when I feel stressed. I want to gain weight again. :)

hi, actually when i am stress my mind trigger me to eat foods i wanted to eat regardless what the price is.usually i eat when i am stress are pizzas,sea foods,chocolates and fried chickens.

I always eat whatever i want and i think it is such a good way for me to release myself and i have a good excuse to eat more good food.Anyway,listen to music and read books are also the way that i take for relaxtion.Have a nice day.But i think that i need to control.

It sometimes depend on my mood.Sometimes I had a tendency not to eat if I am feeling down and depressed but i just think to my self that if I don't eat It will not help me uplift my mood better i will eat so that I will not get sick and help uplift my mood at the same time.

I eat very less when I feel sad or stress. Depression means only crying for me. I cried when feel stress and no solution for depression.

Hello vycess! I think it is the other way with me. When I am stressed I like eating very much. Especially chocolates. I read somewhere that chocolates can help lift up your mood because of sertonin or something...I am not sure if it is just me who think it is effective but I really do feel my sadness slips away when I munch on chocolates :)

For me it is more of a case of not eating anything. Sometimes the stress feels like one big adrenalin rush, so there may be times where I am not hungry. Even if I tried to eat some food, everything would taste terrible, which would push me away from food even more. There have been times where I have gone days without eating.

Well, that depends on the type of stress I am going through. Sometimes I over eat and sometimes I stop eating. Either way, that is not good for our health. I know all about stress and depression. It is not a good feeling and everyday seems like a chore.

When I'm stressed out I typically eat more, junkier foods! I love to eat regardless of my mood but when I'm feeling down, I'll eat myself into a coma! But I really, I love to eat good food and when I'm stressed I'll practically eat about anything! It's great that I have the opportunity to eat as much I do, and I'm also happy that I don't have any built up stress.

I don't get stress that often, but when I do I'm very inactive. I don't socialize or eat anything. I hold up in my room, play video games, mess around on the Internet (post on MyLot!), or watch a movie. I just don't feel like interacting with anybody or doing anything. I guess when I'm stressed out, it's a lot like being depressed for a lot of people.

When stressed I became more extravagant, it was like fighting against my extreme emotion.I shopped a lot,listening to rock music, and eat a bulk of food(whether it is high in fats and carbohydrates).Most of the time you will see people under stress situations get leaner, mine was the opposite cause I get bloated/fatter.teehehe
