Hello MYLOTTERS, Its been 3~4 months since my kids have started going to school(playway)and in the starting they troubled me and my wife as they did not use to wake up in the morning as we used to fight a battle to prepare them to go to school like other kids do.But recently i am not getting troubled by them. Now a days even on OFFS too they will wake early and ask to wake up as we have to go to school*hehehe*. Have you also experienced it when your kids started going to school?.Share your experiences.

That's nice to hear that your kids are enjoying getting ready for school. So, the lazy dad always sleeps late and wait for the kids to wake him up, huh?

Hello Mashnn, Yes at first they resist to wake up early in the morning and when they have adjusted themselves in the school they enjoy going to school and now never give us trouble getting ready for school.

That is also sign that they are becoming more responsible which is really good indeed.

Kids are really amazing. Now they behave, tomorrow they're gone crazy. I have lots of experience when it comes to schooldays. I've been through those days of dragging them out from bed. Pushing them to take a bath and forcing them to eat some food before leaving home. Duh, those were the days and now my kids are young teens...not having too much trouble. But, I am facing new problem with them

Hello Jaiho, I know jaiho there are problems parents face at every stage when kids grow up.But i believe problems with the kid when he/she studies in school is lesser than the kid when grow up. Really in the starting days when i used to prepare them to got to school were irritating but now i am used to it and enjoy it.

that's right suny kids always run from going school as they like playing and they are not allowed to play all the time in school like home.Secondly they don't get freedom like home in school.

Hey SJ That's really wonderful that your kids wants to go to school even on off day.. .. Normally kids not liking schools and waiting for the off days from before... But its good to know that your kids got attached with school and became used to of it.

Your kids must be enjoying learning in the school and maybe having a lot of friends now, that's why even on weekends they wake you up! Plus I think their body clock has started to get used to that morning time too so when they opened their eyes in the morning, all that was in their mind was going to school.

I think it hard on any parent when their children start school part of us is proud and happy for our childrens growth and another part of us is worried out of our minds because we now have to entrust our children to someone who is basically a stranger and trust that we have done our job as parents in teaching our children right from wrong and how to behave properly in this setting. It can also be a huge change for our kids they have gone from sleeping in every morning and conducting their schedule based on their wants and needs like eating whenever they become hungry to waking up early every morning and their day being structured for them now even if they become hungry at 10 am they have to wait till the lunch period to eat. Like most changes in time they become habit and are much easier to adjust to and especially in their younger years most children come to like school and all the new friends they make. Learning new things can become an exciting adventure for them

Hello Curmont, Yes they have made lot of friends there in the school may be this is the reason they enjoy going to school.Yes its true when kids start going to school they automatically make their schedules that's right when kid is small he/she wakes up in the early morning when he/she feels hungry otherwise don't wake up till late morning. Now a days my kids don't wake up early just for the milk/food they wake up particulary for going to school.Really there have been many changes i have been noticing since they started going to school and rightly so this is how the kids grow up.

Hello sjvg, Before answering to the question I would like to know, do you have twins? I guess it from your post may be I am wrong on my guessing. I remember my elder on starts his play school at the age of 2+ and he used to cry in the beginning. It was difficult for us to wake him up for school as he is having the habit of sleeping late and wake up late. For my younger son, he never cried instead he was so happy to join his school as he watched everyday his elder brother is going to school and he was excited to join the new world. But wake up in the morning is a difficult process for him too as he hold the habit exactly like his elder brother. On holidays too they never wake up early but enjoy the sleep in the morning time. Now you know in Delhi the winter started and sleeping in morning is so enjoyable. I feel, not to wake them up in the morning but their school van is coming at 7.30 AM so I don’t have any other alternative but to interrupt their sleep.

Yes winter has started in DELHI and really its look cosy sleeping in the morning but then too they wake up on holidays too and forget that they don't have to go to school.

Since I was small I really hate when other people come and wake me up as I know how to wake up by myself plus I really hate to hear the noise~(^^) I can't imagine what some other people might think when mom is waking them up like a bomb explode beside them yet they are still not moving and still sleeping~hehe...(^^)

Wow! Your kids WANT to get up and go to school. I used to get up easily to go to school, but I didn't really want to go..lol. My I used to be a nanny, and believe me it was always difficult to wake the kids (my God Daughter's children) up to go to school. They just seemed to sleep in comas and woke up when they wanted to.. I think they just tuned me out.. sometimes they would miss the bus and I'd have to take them to school.

Hello PQ, Yes it surprises me too as they are not like other kids who just make excuses or don't easily get up when they are tried to in the morning. I appreciate my kids as there has been not a single when they have missed their school bus in last 3 ~4 months.

Hi sj, Happy to know that they have started their initial stages of education. Best wishes for their future. My daughter never troubled me though now she's in IX std but my son (9 yrs) is very fussy in getting up, brushing, having his bathe, drinking milk and what not. But he will enjoy all these on his own when he's home. Also he only takes his favorite snacks in his lunch box. But sometimes he is the first to get ready. I think children are very moody at times. My son too used to wake up early during their summer holidays and join my husband for the morning walk.

Hello Viju, I also used to do the same things as your son does.I remember when i could not completed my home work i used to tell lie to my parents in the morning that i have stomach pain so i cannot go to school and you know parents are parents they used to trust me and allow me to take off. But when i grew up i never troubled my parents and was a sincere student and always used to try not take leaves from school and hope so your son also become like me when he grow up little more.

No my kids always liked to go to school, guess they were ready for it. They also alwasy woke up in time. Only were used to sleep in the afternoon and that turned out to be a great problem at school. Esp. as one of my daughters tried to sleep in the bed ment to be for the puppet. With my youngest 2 problems start later at their former school. My daughter and some other kids in her class (all about 5 years old) were kicked and grabbed between their legs and in the belly without the teachers noticing or doing anything. Except for finding excuses why the bully behaved like that (boy of 7 years old). My son been bullied and humilated at that school by the teacher for 4 years (first thought it were some kids but they were just acting that way to please the teacher.). So both are going to a new school (just started) in an other area of the city and already kids from their old school came over there too (let's hope not the bullies).

Hello Wakeupkitty, Oh my thats terrible! Didn't you go to their school to teach lesson to that teacher. This is really very bad and a concern if a teacher could do this. Its good to know that your kids don't trouble you in the morning to get ready for school.

How I wish my brothers will do the same.haha. I would pray for that to happen here too. My 3 brothers (all in highschool) were like very lazy in the morning. My mother would have to bang the boys room's door every morning and I always ended up waking too soon. I hate that.

This really depends on my little niece and nephews moods. Soemtimes they even asked if they could skip class and surely their mom will ready to scold them for that but mostly they really like to joke around about school. But since it's already a week left for the school holiday they start to feel lazy to come to school..We used to be that way too so

Congratulation since your kids are now starting school. It's so nice that early at this stage they're showing good signs that they will be loving it at school and you've trained them the right attitude at waking up early in the morning for school. Nice works for both of you!

Your kids probably started to like going to school and they are always looking forward to it. That could be the reason why you are no longer having the same problem to used to have. In school, tell your kids to make friends with their classmates and schoolmates to start them young on the concept of Social Relationship. Always remind them not to be abusive as it will not give them friends but enemies. For now just enjoy your kids while they are youngand support them every step of the way.
