Health Issues

Have you experienced that when you were reading a certain health article or heard about it, you feel that you are at risk of having an illness or probably have it but just didn't know? I know I did. I was studying for an exam during my nursing student years. Every time I am able to associate that I am at risk for a certain illness, my reaction is like this - o_O. Sometimes, when my friends and I encounter a certain disease and that we can associate it to ourselves, we would be like this, "Kill me now!" in a comical crazy way. I can't describe it but it's actually a funny scene. But still it scares the hell out of me. So what I did was, I became conscious and tried to have a healthy lifestyle somehow. How about you? Care to share your experience? Did you do something about it? Thank you ^_^

i did do that when i was younger, but not so much now. i find health issues interesting, and i like to read about these things in magazines and other places, so i have become indoctrinated on the healthy lifestyle thing. though i don't know why these things bother me less now i'm older than they did when i was younger, maybe its because i think that if i got to this age without too much going wrong i shouldn't worry too much.

Probably it does not bother you anymore because at your age, probably you have learned to know your body more than you were in your younger years. That's good to know. But since Prevention is always better than cure, then it is always good to start a healthy lifestyle at a younger age.

Same here but I only follow those that are not too much or those that I can handle. Reading health articles can be good also since they give you preventive measures or teach you how to take care of your body well. Thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS ^_^

In my experience, you learn to know your body and discover thereĀ“s something wrong with it before even doctors know it. But then you have to go to doctors and see what is wrong with it. But reading about an illness and deciding you might having is suffering beforehand. I like reading health articles, but not to follow them but to just know. Take care and welcome to mylot!

Of course! Nobody knows your body very much except yourself. I also love reading articles with regards to health and when they are applicable to me, then I follow but usually I don't follow them. Hahahah!!! Thank you and Happy Mylotting. GOD BLESS ^_^

I like reading Health Magazines. At least, i get tips on how to stay healthy , how to prevent one's self from getting this and that disease. But as to worry whether i will have the disease, no i don't , because i know myself too well. If ever i feel something wrong with me, i will immediately consult my doctor and have some laboratory tests done. Prevention is better than cure as they say, and i believe in that.

Same here SimplyD! I also like reading Health Magz. Actually, while I was reading those, I made a mental note that I should have a healthy lifestyle. I don't want to die early. I agree that prevention is always better than cure. ^_^
