there are quite a few problems that the poor and the needy face all over the world especially in the developing countries. it would be a lot easier for them to lead a proper life if only the politicians and leaders of the nation thought in different ways instead of being just utterly selfish. consider this one - many poor people don't even have proper clothes to wear. they come from lower strata of society and hence adhere to some kind of conventional clothing though difficult to wear or maintain - eg. the long sari of India. being poor it might be difficult to wash and dry it. also the woman might have only a couple of them. how difficult it might be during the rainy season! this is only one simple example out of many such all over the world! can't a politician or a national leader think of promoting and providing a kind of clothing like warm suits - trousers and shirts which might be comfortable warm and easy to wash? perhaps they could provide a few durable ones to the poor families and change their way of life? do post your comments on this and contribute with your own innovative creative ideas. thank you

Why should I give up my hard earned money to someone I dont even know. I give plenty of money to charities and to my church but to give money to people I will never see and dont care about me? I am all for giving but it seems like your discussion is just bashing more advanced countries. I dont understand where you are coming from?

sorry if you didn't get me right. it's not about bashing up advanced countries or make someone give away his hard earned money even to one who is in need. it is only to spare a thought to all the needy ones around the world - both in advanced countries as well as the advancing ones.

yes i know it's not fruitful complaining about the politicians knowing it's all in vain ... but it's just like unburdening yourself by sharing something which is bothering you - when you feel you are not able to do much alone with such a lot of problems in your country and all over the world be it advanced countries or the developing countries. thanks for your understanding response

Excellently said. I live here in the USA, and I think everyone tends to think of everyone well off here. There are a lot of needy hurting people here also that the Politicians and president seems to forget about, and think only about themselves. Maybe somehow God or someone can open up everyones eyes here in the World to Poverty, and what is really is, and come up with some ways to help change the situations to make this world a better place overall to live.

well i must say its a new thought.sarees are cheap and durable.they do not need to be stiched .after they are torn up they can be used as clothes for new borns or cleaners.india is strict about its culture and govt cannot infringe their right to freedom to do any thing.

thanks, but no Pooja i didn't mean the govt. should impose anything on the citizens but that it could help in some innovative ways that would bring a gradual change for the betterment of lives that are in need ....
