Do Kanye's actions outside of his music overshadow his musical abilities? I personally think Kanye is one of the greatest artists around, but his overall view seems to be negative due to his comments about Bush and interupting Taylor Swift. I hope that he can calm himself down and let himself be recognized for his musical greatness.

Just like Lil Wayne, Kanye West is totally overrated. His rapping style is very average. I have not heard any of his songs that are really exceptional. Ask him to battle live with other hip hop artists and he will surely fail. I think he got to cocky just because he was becoming popular, he couldn't control himself with his attitude. What more if he become more famous.

Dear, Lil Wayne is nowhere near Kanye musically. First off Kanye never really claimed himself to be a beast in rapping, it is his passion which is to make music and he really has done his part to give us good if not great, quality music for our generation. I think the way he produces is great, he has his own music style and I really appreciate that. Kanye has done so much for our generation music-wise in the genre of hip-hop. understanding his music is like looking at an abstract painting, you really have to dig deep, and I am talking about his album MBDTF. his lyrics for me are good and he can rap with no auto-tune or something. Kanye is'nt a rapper, he is an artist in his own right.

I caught his interview on NIGHTLINE the other night, and Yay (I think he spells it "Ye," but that still looks like 'Old English "You"') seems to have changed his focus to 'God.'
He's 'a Good Republican.' (I don't know his feelings about Trump, but his focus is "Good Republicans'" "God, Family & Country.")

I agree with you. His ego is entirely too big for the music world or any world for that matter. He is such a good artist that you often times forget that fact and only rembmer some of the off the wall and out of place comments that he has made in the past. If he could just realize that the world doesnt revolve around him and that his opinion doesnt matter to everyone then his carear would go a lot further.
