Annoying things your mates do.

I have a few close friends and I feel I can share just about anything with them but a couple of friends I have can annoy me sometimes when we are having a chat, most recently a friend called Mark has gone off to University and has met someone who he has just started going out with, he had been talking about her to me on Facebook and as usual I had asked the usual questions about how it's going and how he met her. Today when I asked how she was he responded "noyb" which means none of your business. hmm. now this is a friend I have known on and off for nearly 20 years. surely as a friend of his it's my business how his gf is as it inevitably affects him and I hope he's okay obviously as you want your friends to be okay surely?. What's your view?, do you get annoyed on either side?.

Well I guess you just let him be. The word is annoying coz he actually just say he will tell you maybe some other time. I don't see the point why he would suddenly tell you it's none of your business when he is the one who talks about her with you before. I think the relationship is not going so smoothly as he is kinda not in the mood to talk about it.

Yeah that's the thing that annoys me the most about this. I don't understand when people tell you something if they don't want to talk about it.

Yeah, I was right in thinking that there must be something up with the relationship. He came clean and said that they were having problems.

I feel it was rude for your friend to say"none of your business".You have been friends for nearly 20 years and to the point where you keep no secrets from each other .It was totally out of good intentions that you asked him about his girlfriend's something, why did he say so!

Thanks for the response.

That is really annoying and kind of insult. We feel free and comfortable to ask because we thought they are our good friends. Okay...yes, sometimes we are moody..but we can always be a little kind when responding a good question.

Yeah it's just odd as he usually started the conversation about her.

Oh, my! I am very sure he was too upset to talk anything on that matter. Maybe there are problems between him and his gf...just give him some time and try getting back to him..I am sure he will be alright then

Yeah, I don't think there's any problem between us but before he's told me about her and even before I have asked so it's odd that he says this now.
