Had my car filled with gas last night before heading for a meeting. The gasoline attendant do the usual customer service check and parroting my order. He then pulled the hose, signalling me to look at the meter and press the hose to fill in the tank. I paid the amount and start the engine that made me jump off from my seat when suddenly smoke comes from the emission pipe and I hear my engine goes with some funny sounds. Cloud of smoke filled the gasoline station that people rush to run away as I do. Fine, the gasoline attendant give my car diesel instead of gasoline. I want to faint of anger and fear What will you do if you were in same situation, or have you ever experience same? jaiho®- another great experience.... 11/16/2011 2:46am PT

Sorry sweetie. But this kind of thing happen here daily. You can either slap him silly or make him empty the tank again.

Not really suny. Here, they ask you what you use. It caused a lot of trouble as the attendants are suppose to ask. Not all the pumps here are properly marked. Was it me, i would have taken him by the ear to get that diesel out. It cause a lot of damage to any engine if something like this happens.

Hi! How come strange things happen with you only.. You must have played some trick before the guy forgetfully filled your car with diesel instead of gasoline. He might have got busy to see a beautiful lady like you that he forgot what actually he was supposed to do.

Do you mean to say that your legs are more attractive than your face ....... Lol! He would have lost in some dreams - like sitting you in the car and/or driving the car ............ which made him commit the mistake .... Lol!

What I would do is have my engine checked and if anything is wrong with it due to the gas attendants mistake, I will hold the gas station responsible for any damages. I could only imagine how you felt. You cannot put diesel into a gas engine. It could cause damage, not only to the engine, but the fuel system as well. Get your car checked out fast.

hello inertia, I had my car checked with my car's company and they had agreement with the gas station about the expenses. Also a written agreement in case of any damaged after a month. This gives me a good lesson anyway... Have a great weekend

hello khare, I saw the gasoline boy pulled the hose but, I never thought it was a wrong hose. One machine here has 4 classified fuels so he took the wrong hose and fill my tank. I am confident since I am an old customer of this station for 3 years already. Well, this serves me a lesson as well the gas station- not they give their crew and very strict rules. have a great weekend

A very expensive mistake ... for the attendant or the station he works for! I would insist that all the damage is fixed and paid for by the station and that you are remunerated for the inconvenience, taxi fares and so on. If they don't like it or don't want to play ball, take them through the small claims court!

hello owwlings, Good thing the station manager is so kind. They made all the necessary action... I really wanted to flare, but looking at the boy's face... all I do is to take a very deeeeeeep breath. Had my receipt with me and other written agreement also in case problem arise..(I hope none)

I have experienced it but not quite the exact same thing. We noticed the gasoline boy is pumping up diesel on our truck. So we never started the engine. So we have to stay in the gasoline station for them to suck out all the diesel. Lucky for them our tank is removable which made their work easier. Talk about a bad day huh?

hello mrangelique , Good for you, you've seen it,I did not bother to look soon as I close my window to avoid the smell. Besides, I am too confident he knows what he is doing after repeating my order. To my dismay...the attendant is a newbie...that made me cool when he beg for sorry. I just hope nothing worse occur...

First off I would definately make the attendant (or gas station) pay for the damages to the car. It is his fault the mistake was made in the first place and putting disel in a car is NEVER a good thing. I have never had this happen to me as I always fuel my care myself. I just don't trust anyone to do it for me, and after listening to your story I can see why I have made that choice. I hope that the damage is not too bad and that they fixed it cause if not I would be calling a lawyer and the police.

hello CRIVAS, Sorry for my late response (^_^) I had my car checked once again and had the tank clean. Yes, we have written agreement if any problem occurs, the station will pay the damages. Thanks for your comment and have a great weekend

Oh my, that's a huge mistake a gasoline boy can make. I have never been in that situation before and i honestly don't want to be because that will do a lot of damage to your car.And hassle of course, you cant use your car that way. But i know, the station will take the responsibility of their boys action. They will have to take out the diesel and clean your tank and the pipes. They must not charge you for that. But that will really ruin your day. :-(
