Does the appearance of a bad response or no responses at all discourage you from creating more topics within the span of the day? Well, if I have an unsuccessful discussion, I try to make the second one twice as good and as interesting! So when you get a bad response do you stop posting discussions for a bit? Do you continue to broadcast unique and brilliant ideas? I want to read what all of you do!

Hello there.. I didn't get the term 'bad response'? What does it mean? I won't be discouraged if I got no responses, few responses.. Doesn't matter! I'll keep adding quality here on myLot as long as I live.. :-) Happy Lotting...

Never say die! I admire the strong positive attitude displayed under unfavorable situations. It is good to hear you bounce back with more zeal without worrying about a previous not so good effort. It happens to most if not all of us here I think. This may be a kind of writers' block too. May be we think we have posted a good topic but others don't find it tickling enough to elicit their response. Without looking back or feeling low, I try to move on. And like you said, a very interesting topic flashes past and I grab it. May be this one will draw more comments. Move on, we must tell ourselves. The journey is long.

I don't really come on here often, not because of bad responses or no response just that i'm busy and have lots of work to do. Getting a bad response to me is a good sign that you should improve and be more creative.

We can never avoid negative responses dear. As long as there is no bad words used..just ignore the comment. There are good mylotters than the bad ones so, just avoid the bad ones okay.

I take any discussion no matter how successful or not as a learning experience. It is going to allow me to grow as a writer and a member of the myLot community to say the very least. There have been many times where my discussions were absolute bombs. And by a bomb, I mean that there was either one response or no responses. It did seem like a good idea but many ideas do seem rather good at the time. So yes, if I got discouraged by topics that didn't do well, I doubt that I would be here going on two years and counting. There are so many lessons that I learned by making topics about things that work. Of course there are times where certain lines of topics work but sometimes they don't work. It is a rather fascinating and frustrating experience in many ways. Yet it wouldn't be myLot without a certain level of absolute insanity.

Well I do not mind these kind of responses to me. if people think my discussion is bad, well i don't hold any grudges whatsoever. I would most definitely still be here and enjoy mylot and still create as much as I can. People's opinion differs and their preference too so i won't take that they are against me personally. hehe

It used to bother me when I was a newbie. I have now learnt the art of moving on no matter what bad experiences I get to savor here! Is it not better that way than to wallow in something that gives one no returns?

No, and it never will. In mylot discussions I always expect that there are people out there who will eventually add a negative comment under my discussions. I actually had one, it surprised me a little. It made me pissed a little because the comment was very unhelpful and sarcastic. Clearly that mylotter didn't understand the point of the discussion unlike all the others, which was pathetic. I replied (i couldn't resist) and thanked that mylotter sarcastically. I see that mylotter as a rotten apple who got mixed somehow along with all the beautiful apples in the cart. I keep posting topics as always. I know what i am doing on mylot and I always have good intentions when I post discussions. I know that they can be helpful information to others and i want to share knowledge with others and learn from them. Basically, i just post anything that pops into my mind. As long as I know that it is helpful for me and to others, it is bound to be an interesting topic anyway. And even if it didn't get that many responses i'm still happy that i can get information even just a little. That's what mylot is about, right?
