I wake up early this morning and I need to buy bread. Because I am hungry. When I already the store and about to buy a bread. People are staring at my eyeglass. My eyeglass turns into a sunglass. I don't know if they know about transition eyeglass. I am really irritated when they are giving bad comments. If they didn't know the actual fact about what they are commenting about.

haha, its a rant about how people stare at your glasses.. oh transition glasses are cool. My brother's eyeglass is one.. i opted not to have them because its very expensive. but its really cool as it would turn into a sunglass if its really bright and would be clear indoors. :D

I know about transition sunglasses. But what are the people you are talking about saying to you about them? I am curious. Are they amazed by them? Or are the rude to you. I like them myself. Whats good about them is that you don't have to always be taking them on and off.

Back when i had them they were called photogray lenses. You had to have light sensitive eyes to get them. I got them by pretending mine were. After wearing them a few years my eyes actually got light sensitive. The next time i got glasses i couldnt afford the extra charges so i skipped it and just got regular lenses. It took some time but my eyes are no longer light sensitive. Now i just have clipons for those sunny days.

It is very common, here, in the USA. My dad had them more than 30 years ago. The only thing is that when you come indoors, it needs time to get back to clear, unless they have improved them since my dad had them.

I have transitional glasses too. They change based on the amount of light in the area I'm in. It is truly a convenience to have transtional glasses. I can't image people haven't heard of them. They've had transitional glasses for several years.

I am not sure the bad comments are are caused by your glasses. They are called reactor lights that darken in bright sunlight. I have been using them for years and my wife uses them as well and I have never had any bad comments or any comments at all for that matter.

Were you accused of magic? How do you like those glasses? I haven't found any that were dark enough for me to wear in the full sun.

Hiya syoti, Whatever they do to protect your eyes that is the most important. It is awful when People stare at you like that I know. When I was very small I had to endure that because I had to wear Glasses for a time and with plaster and Eye ointment due to continual infections. They reckon that even Babies should be wearing some kind of eye protection now as the Sun´s Rays are very strong till about 5 or 6 in the Afternoon. So no matter what if you can ignore them and keep wearing them you will be the one who benefits in the end. I suppose People will never understand if they have never had to wear Glasses I never stare because I have been there I was forced to wear them and now I don´t need them very much thank goodness.xxx

This is the first time I've heard of it but I knew there is such because my friend have one.He said it's like an ordinary eyeglasses that turns like sunglasses when the sun glares so much. The color changes to a darker shade to protects our eyes from ultraviolet rays when it's too hot. I think it's also pricey because instead of having two pairs you only use one.

Now I know what it is called, I've seen this glasses on my officemate, the brand name is Oakley, it's his reading glasses and I've noticed that his reading glasses changed color and turned into sunglasses when we went outside for lunch one sunny afternoon. My first thought was that he changed into sunglasses but I was with him when we went down from the office so it wouldn't be possible for him to replace his glasses. Then I realize there must be a glasses that switch into sunglasses. I think it's a great invention, that's maybe why it cost much.

Syoti20, I'm sorry to hear of the stigma you have been receiving regarding your eyeglass. There should be more publicity about different eye conditions that people have, when doing the lazer treatment adverts. That way it woukd hopefully reduce the numbers of people who think eye conditions are something to gawp at. I myself have a stigmatism and need to wear glasses all the time.

What bad thing could one possibly say about transition eyeglasses? I personally think they are cool and practical. I would like to have a pair!

Mine are transition also.. though they turn to look like sunglasses to everyone else, I can't tell the difference myself. My vision doesn't seem to be shaded even though the glasses darken. They are very expensive and I won't get them again.

Yes, almost everyone I know has transition eyeglasses (except me). Personally, I like bright light and never wear sun glasses, for example. But those transitions glasses look very nice on everyone who wears them. Good for you.

haha, yeah, i'm wearing transition glasses as well.. lol :D It's more convenient right? Able to protect our eyes when we are out in the sun, yet it's back to clear transparent glass when we are out of it However there's not much difference in the transition colors since mine is in lighter shade of brown I've thought of getting some fanciful colors, but opted out of it because fashion never last.. haha

syoit those are the best glasses for allof us so why are they staring unless they are admiring you for being smart and having transition glasses. I would tell them that you have glasses that change to protect your eyes when you go out in the glaring sunlight'. I wanted to get those too but I did not have the seventy extra dollars they wanted for them. but I truly admire you for wearing'them as they protect your eyes really well.I am not sure why they are commenting but give them the benefit and ask if they know bout transition eyeglasses. maybe they were just curious.

Though I've seen one of those before I didn't actually know what it was called I think it's also photochromic lenses or are they different? What kind of bad comments are they saying? There are people like that who's enjoying making fun of some unusual things they don't know about. Just ignore them syoti. Hmmmn now I'm thinking about buying one... I know it's expensive but is it okay to ask how much have you bought yours? If you're uncomfortable to answer her you can send me a PM. I am using contact lenses because my vision isn't good anymore. So if I'm so lazy to wear my contacts, I would wear my eyeglasses and would also bring shades with me. But I can't see clearly without the contacts on and I'm wearing shades. So I guess having one of those would benefit me when I'm lazy to wear lenses.
