Do you believe in horoscope predictions? Do some of them came true?

Sometimes it frightens me to realize that some predictions are true. Is it just a coincidence or do some horoscopes really work? It is scary to believe that there is some unexplained method to glimpse into the future. Does this happened to you? Can checking your horoscope daily become addictive?

It can be addictive but I only view those for fun. And I enjoy it when it says something that makes sense or that actually happens. The important thing to remember is to never let it dictate your life.

I read horoscopes daily but it does not mean I believe what the horoscope says. I read it just for fun for relaxation. Always keep in mind that the horoscope is just a mere prediction created by man who had his or her own beliefs. Bad things and good things happen all the time to each and everyone. If bad things happen we don't expect, it is part of human mistakes or error since we are not perfect being in the first place. If you want predictions to believe, don't let your mind swallowed to some horoscope belief that it is true. Read your bible.

Sometimes I think it is silly to believe in it. Looking at the matter with detachment, it is impossible that millions of people to have the same experience at once. But, I still read it every day.

I kinda believe in it...but only when it is good:P I think it is all about what you believe in.You attract what you believe in so if you believe strongly that the prediction is gonna come true it is highly possible. But I still don't recommend over believing in stuff like that and obsessing with it :)

I am on the opposite side. I tend to pay attention to the bad ones. When some bad things appear on the horoscope I tend to try to carefully avoid them. It only makes things worse because for sure something bad will happen. :)

I know that nothing good comes to you unless you make it happen but the bad things come without provoking them. One day, the morning horoscope told me that I would have a fight with my boss at work. I didn't pay much attention to the prediction because I never fought with him. My surprise was that near the end of the work day he found out about a little mistake I made and it started...the fight predicted in the morning. Coincidence? Maybe

I do not believe in it. I do not believe their is any way to know the future. If it comes true then it is mere coincidence and that is why all of them don't come true. It is more of a guess game than anything.

There is a famous example of seeing into the future. Nostradamus is famous for his prophecies. I know he took an occult path in his life, but many people admit that his quatrains have some truth in them.

I find myself amused by reading them. I kind of chuckle about reading about the horoscopes just to really see what they are saying. It is just an entertaining thing about them. I'm sure many people take them as the absolute gospel truth but I am really not all that big of a fan of horoscopes. I just really find myself just reading through them and just snickering about them. Now granted, I think that some of them can be vague enough to really work in a certain way. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to really get to this point, but it is there. Still I don't really take horoscopes too seriously. They are a cause of great entertainment and rather a lot of great amusement more often than not. Not to be taken seriously by me not at all.

Sometimes I think that the horoscope is just that: a form of entertainment. There were times when I enjoyed a coffee with some friends, reading horoscopes and trying to guess what events could it be talking about. It was funny how we tried to take the vague predictions and linked them to real persons or events. Of course, it never happened as we interpreted it but it was a lot of fun to try.

I was very skeptical about horoscopes and signs. Until I notice I have a very close connection to a certain sign, me being a pisces woman, with scorpio men. Every man important in one way or another in my life was a pisces, and I don't wanna make a list. it's very long. After 3,4 which I though were coincidences I reached over 20 and started believing in this. And I don't even know they are scorpios until after I meet them and realize we're easily connected. It's strange but true. In conclusion I don't know if predictions are true, it probably depends on who writes them, how professional they are on this matter but there is definitely a predisposition for signs to act in certain ways, it also depends on each and every one, how we are, how our life changed us, how others around act, but this whole universe and it's continuous revolving has an effect on us all. You don't need to be obsessive about it, it's not and shouldn't be addictive. Daily horoscopes are too relative from my point of view, but at a certain period, like weekly or monthly you can check out some good information. It might help you make some good decisions.

I don't think that horoscope are really reliable. They are based on things that had happened before and those events became the basis of how astrologers foretell the future. There really are some coincidence wherein a prediction might happen, however, this could be because it is really about to happen and kind of obvious that it will.

I know that there is a belief that all events in the human existence repeat themselves over and over again, that life and history are consistent of cyclic processes. I wonder on how much study a newspaper horoscope is really based on.

Hello Almateea, I truly believe in horoscopes to many things have happened, when I talk to people that don't believe I will let them read something that I know pertains to them then they will say wow, do they continue to read I don't know but I sure do and that is all that really matters, Great discussion I always wanted to know how people felt about this never thought about starting a discussion duh lol I don't feel that horoscopes predict our future I feel it gives us food for thought and there is always room for that in my life, sometimes I can read and be like 'Oh My God' I must say it's always usually right on point with what I am going through I actually love it,to me its like my own personal friend that I feel knows me better than most lol

No, I don't. I don't see how the exact same thing is going to happen to all of those who were born under the sign of Geminis. I believe in palm readings because the person that is reading my hand is in close contact with me---just me.

There's only one thing I have been hearing from my father from the time I completed education & started earning that because of a particular arrangement of stars ruling my life that I have been bestowed with a strong fortune and I'll never starve in life! . So far [about thirty years on], it has remained true and whoever told him that prediction is proved right. But it is my father again who told me in another context that astrology & horoscope is such a system, a true astrologer himself admits that out of ten predictions, five may come true while five may not. I think whoever has interest in horoscope & predictions takes note of this. My approach to horoscope is one of uninvolved interest. By which I mean, I have reason to believe that there is some ancient wisdom that helps make some calculated predictions but for a variety of reasons that we are not sure, it is not wise to believe everything that is said.

I personally don't believe on such things as horoscopes. They will tell you "its your luck day today" and indeed everything went smooth sailing. But that doesn't prove that horoscopes are true. The moment you read that it's your lucky day, you began to think positively and thus everything you did for that day turned out to be positive. Statistically, people with positive attitudes get more of what they want out of life than people with negative ones. Did you get my point? We don't need horoscope to tell us about our love life, financial success or whatever. We have more control over things than we think we do so let's not think of something negative to happen to us because it might really happen. This is called self-fulfilling prophecy. Just keep on thinking about positive things and your life would be amazing. Our lives are in our own hands. Don't forget about that. Welcome to mylot and I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Thank you very much for your welcome. I really enjoy this site. I feel it is about real people and real problems. You are perfectly right when you write about positive thinking. We need all the help we can get to feel confident and if a harmless sentence in the morning could make us see the bright side of life, so be it.

Sometimes I read horoscope predictions, and I think there is something in them, but one can never tell the future, only the possibilities. I never asked for a personal horoscope, maybe that would work. But if I see horoscopes in magazines or online I often find that the prediction fits everyone in the world, because they work in any situation :)

It is frightening and it is addictive. It is usually the first thing I look at in magazines and newspapers. Hahahah! But I don't believe it. I have the choice on how I will live my life and I am the one living my life. Nobody knows the future except GOD. ^_^

MY family members believe in horoscope predictions. I think it is true . I always used to look my horoscope through internet and as well as on newspaper. By looking them or reading them I caner to know that they are false statement to attract more readers. If they can predict my future then why couldn't they help people who are going to die.
