Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in the third ODI!!

Pakistan came back in the ODI series with a good win in the third ODI. Now they have taken up a 2-1 lead in this series. The win was setup by a good 150 run opening partnership by Hafeez and Imran Farhat with the former scoring 83 and the latter scoring 70. Though Pakistan failed to kick on in the end, they ended up with a combative 257 on the board. Chasing this Sangakarra and Dilshan seemed to have set the match up for Sri Lanka. But a stupid run out of Sangakarra let the Pakistanis back in the match. Good bowling by the Pakistani spinners then sealed the match with the Lankans being bowled out for 236 to win by 21 runs.
So the series now tilts back in favor of Pakistan team.

Still there is chances for them too have a great come back in the series. The next match will be on Sunday.

Ya pakistan come back with the win i'm 3rd odi. But the series is still open, and srilanka may also come back with a win in next match. 250+ was a good target no that pitch and as you said its the opening partnership set the card for pakistan. Pakistan is my looking like a well balanced team in odi.

Sri Lanka were cruising very well towards the modest target of 258 st by Pakistan. They were on course scoring about 5 runs an over until 35th over. They lost their way during batting power play taken after 35th over. They scored only 19 runs and lost 2 good wickets Jayawardene and Chandimal during this period. They required 72 runs in final ten overs with only Mathews as a recognized batsman. They could manage only 236 at the end giving Pakistan victory by 21 runs.

Oho ! I remember having supported Sri Lanka. But now Pakistan has got the series. Let the deserving team win. Pakistan deserves. In cricket tilting in favour or against happens when one player like sangakarra gets out.

Yes, it is a great come back by Pakistan. They were just superb in the last match. Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul picked up three wickets each and Mohammad Hafeez was the man of the match for his good batting performance.
