I finally learned how to use the record feature that our cable company gave us a

part of the initial sign-up package. I recorded the Mentalist every time it was on last week and last night had a "The Mentalist" marathon and deleted them after I watched them. It seems like there are 10 commercials on shows I record every 10 minutes. So do you watch the Mentalist? If you do, what was your favorite thing that you saw? I liked how diamonds were hidden in plain sight as a cool thing the Father of a child made for her bedroom. I would have never thought of that, but I'd never have that many diamonds. Just the one on my finger. Are you happy when you figure something out before he says it? I know that the dead female in one show was not a drug addict. For one of the same reasons he said, too much muscle tone. Too much anything. I worked in a jail and most of the people that ended up in our jail that were drug addicts were all skin and bones. Do you have problems with any of the shows for realism? I did. They had Jane in the prison system. Cops are not allowed to bring firearms in any prison I've worked in.Yet they had people visiting Jane with a gun, also a visit in general population. If a cop is visiting an inmate, that is kept separate and secret. I quit watching for a while because that was just too many errors in one show for me. Also he got "cocky" and didn't seem to care about what anyone in authority said. But I'm back to watching again.

That feature is a lifesaver for a busy person like me. I am terrible about remembering times and days of shows I like. I was faithful to a few but once they went off for a while, I got all out of the habit of watching them..lol. I haven't watched the Mentalist but it sounds very interesting. I might have to set my cable box for it..lol. Take care.

I'm waiting to see the second half of this one episode where he helped someone escape. Yes, all the shows I like tend to be "past my bedtime" or when I'm supposed to take a nap. Getting old is really something. Take care.

Thanks for the best response. There are a ton of shows I would miss out on if it weren't for having that option.

You're welcome. We had a double power outage, one right after another and that was the only cable feature I lost. Missed Unforgetable. But called the cable company and they reset it for me. So I"m back in business!

I don't watch the mentalist though I have seen it before. I love DVR but we don't have that here. It comes in handy though and makes it easier to catch up on shows. It costs quite a bit though and when I move I know I won't be able to afford it, even if I wanted it. Oh well, I plan to save up and get alot of my fave shows on DVD.

Yeah, first year is free, next year they'll sock it to us!. Thanks, I couldn't remember what it was called, I knew it wasn't TIVO. Hope your move turns out well.

I have watched it. Hubby likes it. I remember when he got cocky. This show does not bother me as much as some crime shows do, but I do have issues with criminal and medical shows that really miss on things like you are describing.
