Why Did You Choose Your Profile Picture?

I haven't been on Mylot in seems like decades due to this thing we all call LIFE. So today I jumped on and decided to change my profile picture for kicks I guess.
I chose this picture because it fits part of my character. I'm pretty shy, and use to have social anxiety
(not the case now).
This picture represents me as a PRIVATE person in general; the person who never bothers anyone, but will still offer my kindness and friendship to those who show interest.
Though slightly shy sometimes, I'm still very social within my circle of friends, family and associates.
I might be changing this picture soon anyway, just testing it out for a minute, maybe.
Is there a specific reason you chose your profile picture?

Hi miraclefreebies, how has life been treating you? I have no special reason for my profile picture, just saw it and liked it, and started using it. If I don't hear from you before Thursday, you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving. And be blessed.

My profile picture is the picture of my kids. Since I don't have my baby picture anymore and they look like me anyway, I just used their photo. It made me feel young whenever I look at it.

I tend to change mine a lot on all my sites I use.
I use one that fits my mood and/or the season at the time.
I now have a Christmas one until I change it.
Mine are usually put up as my mood changes actually.
Most times it's a pic of me or my grandkids and I.

Hi Miracle! I'm so happy to see you here again after so long.
I posted this picture right after reading a discussion about images so I grabbed my camera, took this photo and posted it right after that. This is me as I am right now. Aging, yes, but still not too bad. 
And I'm definitely NOT shy. LOL I was shy around anyone outside of my inner circle (close family and friends) when I was young but outgrew that once I had kids. It's amazing how we can develop a voice when protecting our lil'uns, isn't it?
By the way, I like you better without the bag on your head. You're a very pretty gal, you know.

Darn myLot! I never got notified that you had responded. I haven't received any responses all day and was beginning to get a little paranoid. 
So, I'm glad I checked, just in case. Yeah, I'm still myLotting, although not much these days. I mean, I'm here almost every day but not like I used to be. I've been really busy lately, especially with the holidays approaching.
I hope you're doing well. How is that adorable granddaughter of mine? I bet she's getting big! Gee, how time flies, huh?
Write when you can. If I don't hear from you before Thursday, I hope your Turkey Day is wonderful and you don't eat too much. I tend to do that every year.

Hi kiddo! I was thinking about you the other day, and here you are! Great to see you again, hope everything is going well for you.
I chose my picture because it was my beloved pet, who passed in March of this year. I get comfort in having her picture near, since I cannot have her near.
Your picture is interesting. I do think you should cut a couple of peep holes. Otherwise, not only do you hide, but the world is hidden from you, too.

So sorry about your lost. I remember seeing your pet as your avatar. I remember that friendly face. Thanks for the advice about the peep holes. I'm about to change it back to my old one. That will fix it.

I have chosen my profile picture because for me it is important that people know what is on the other side of the monitor.

hi miracle I chose my avatar as a graphic as I love makine new graphics and trying to find the most beautiful ones. I made this
and wrote Christmas 2011 on it hope people like it. i am a Scorpio born in Nov, so am artistic and different from others a bit too.I
am shy but still like people but not a whole slew at one time. lol

Yes, LIFE, ain't it grand?! I have social anxiety. Is that a person with long dark hair and a sack over their head? Interesting. Mine is peace sign made of celtic knots. I am an old hippie and I love peace signs even though some religious people think they are a sign of the anti-christ. I chose my particular profile picture because of this.

In my profile picture there is a girl with a cup,dreaming pleasently(actually,she is an indian actress).I thought it's completely suitable for my charector.I always like to be a day dreamer.

The profile picture gives a visitor the real you. One can identify the person who is writing the article or scoop. It gives a personal touch to the whole thing.

I find the picture amusing. I like how it's a take on the DaVinci's man picture and it's pretty accurate in representing what I do day after day after day.

I chose my son's photo as my profile picture. As he is very important for me and I'd like to see him all the time. He looks cute and I think people will like adorable children. And this is why his photo was set as my profile picture.

I chose my avatar because I love dragons and because I've been told it describes my personality. I can be be fierce, aggressive and dangerous if someone threatens my children or my family. Those who do so always regret it and come away from the battle much worse for wear.

First, very cool question I never thought to much about peoples profile pics before. Mine is truly me, only 11 years ago. I still feel like that girl most of the time, it's not till I look in a mirror (or get Maamed)that I remember that I'm not her. I also don't like most pics of me and this one was taken by a friend from art school who (before she passed away) was an incredible photographer and so looking at it brings me so many happy memories. 1 person likes this

i choose my profile pic because i love it..i love and i am fascinated by this kind of thing and creature which is fairies and this image of a dark fairy is really to me a beautiful picture that i just want it to represent me here on mylot..that i don't want to reveal my true picture as of the moment,,

I actually made the picture I chose to use for my profile. I guess that's why I picked it, haha. I also like the contrast of it, and I figured it was kind of eye-catching, so I've been using it on a few sites as my profile image since I like it so much.
