Would you love to reach 100 years of age or more?

Some of us are enjoying life and some are enduring. It depends on each one's situation. But life is short and we have to live it to the fullest. In the world that we live today, things are quickly changing, for some it is fun and for some it's kinda becoming boring. But no matter how old are you now, would you still love to reach 100 years of age or more, considering how the world is in a constant change? For me, I would love to, but I think I might not afford and survive it. We don't really control our future but this one iss just a question that came to my mind of which I'd like to ask you also. Thanks and nice day to all!

No I wouldn't wanna live that long. Because I am sure my body wouldn't be that strong anymore. I don't want any of my family to have a hard time taking care of me. However, if I remain strong, can feed myself, take bath and walk on my own then I would be happy to be still alive in my 100th year. It will just be depressing to see people I love dying earlier than me.

I've seen a few in their 90's who can still take care of themselves. They are still strong, but not what it used to be. Sometimes I hear them say that they are tired (maybe they felt they have lived long enough) and they wanted the Creator to take them even if it's not yet their time. Anyway, thanks mylene :)

Yeah because even if they are still strong. They are no longer able to do what they can do when they were a bit younger. They can't go roaming really far too. So that might be why they feel tired about their life.

Yeah I would love to live longer. But then if it would mean that I would be having some diseases, then I'd rather die. I don't want to suffer. With old age also comes diseases and so, I choose not to live long if I would have to live with some serious diseases.

You could still live long and stay healthy, that is, if you start living a healthy lifestyle. Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, clearwater.

Yeah you could live long and stay healthy but not totally healthy. As you grow older, our body also changes. It changes not only physically but also with it's functions. Everything changes so basically, we would grow weak as well. But it's a plus I guess that if you live healthy, somehow you'll be weak but somehow you'll still be strong.

If I would be having a happy, healthy and wealthy life, I would be wishing for 100 years of life. I could imagine myself doing charities while traveling around the world. That would be a very fulfilling experience. Yet with all the health issues coming with old age, I doubt I will ever have to enjoy that. I don't want to be a burden to anyone. But I have no control over my future. Whatever is the will of God, I will just accept. Who knows I might be living for a hundred and one years. But since it hasn't come yet, I might as well enjoy the life I am living at the present.

I agree. We'll just live one day at a time and enjoy what God has given us each day. When tomorrow comes and we're still alive, then we're blessed to see another sunrise. I think it's hard to enjoy a hard and troubled life, but you know, as long as we cast our cares upon Him, then He will take care of everything. Have a nice day and thank you!

That is a tough question for me because sometimes I feel like I am over this life but other times I love life. It depends on the day and what things have happened. If I am in good health then I think I would like to live that long. If I am not then no. If the world gets a whole lot worse than it is now then maybe I won't want to either. Crime, the economy and the increasing prices on everything makes me wonder though... =)

Yes, I've thought about that, too. There's the feeling that you want to see how life is at 100, but then with all that's been going on - world crisis, health issues - made me feel I'd rather not. If I have lived a fulfilled life and was happy with it, no matter how long or how short, then that's it. It's just my prayer that I get to live and fulfill my purpose here on earth. Thank you so much for sharing!

No, I don't. I guess I would like to go in my 80s. That would be more than enough.

But if you do live to be in your 90's, you have to keep enjoying life. Somebody out there might still need you. :) Cheers! Thanks, buoyancy!

I have already decided i will live to be 125. Nobody can change my mind on that. Even if the world ended tomorrow i will still be here, because I will live to be 125. Everyone who knows me knows this and they all tell me "good luck with that" lol

That's a unique answer, mssnow :) I will not change your mind on that. But I'm curious though, why 125? Anyway, good luck and thank you for the response.

For me, I would like to reach 100 years of age or more, and i think most other people like that. But in my opinion that, it is useless, if we live a lone life, without adding any benefits to our self and/or others. How long we live in our life are relatively, as time itself is relatively. As many benefits and acting we gain in our life as the life are more interested than you could count its years.

To be honest, I don't think that I would want to live to be 100 years old. If I do, then I do, but it's not really something that I want. It's really not something that I've ever really wanted. But you never really know what may happen. If I do then I do, but if not then it's really not the end of my world.

Yes you're right. We don't really know what may happen later or tomorrow. But there's a saying that goes something like "Live each day as if tomorrow never comes." Thanks :)

Hi, I would love to celebrate my 100Th birthday if only my loved one is still by my side and I'm able to take care of my self. If I remain as fit as a fiddle by then, there should be no problem for me to enjoy life. The ageing process is usually accompanied by many health complications. So, to remain healthy at 100 is a blessing.

Yes, I agree. Healthy at 100 is a blessing. Nowadays, only few can make it to their hundreds. I know some people only in their 20's or 30's go to the hospital for dialysis or have already experienced mild stroke....so sad. They're so young to have serious illnesses. It's really up to us to take care of our health and not abuse it. Thanks for sharing, julianmac!

Right, only God knows how long our lives will be on earth. If given the chance, maybe there's a purpose. For now, let's enjoy what we have. Thank you, ardoy!

Wow that is such an old age to reach but if I can and I may, then I surely will grab that opportunity for as long as I am still physically able with that year. Have a great day!

Do you think it would be hard to reach that age? If you stay fit and healthy, there's a chance that you can. Thanks, ohlala!

Hi neelia-lyn, as for me age doesn't matter as long as matter doesn't age. I love to live a little longer for as long as my presence of having an age of 100 or more wont be a burden to my family. Its truly nice to spend more time in this world if given a chance. Having an age of 100 years old is not a hurdle to face a very challenging world that we have for as long as we have the family that will support, love us unconditionally and care no matter what and who ever we are.

Wow, I love that - age doesn't matter as long as matter doesn't age. Very well said, indeed, and I agree. There's so much to think regarding the future, but as long as we have our family, the journey will be much easier to travel. Thank you, grace :)

Oh, I'd love to reach my 100th year since at present I feel that I still have a lot of things I need to accomplish. Giving me those additional years may not necessarily mean that I could do more things, but at least it gives me a bit more time to try and do it. I'm saying this 'cause I really don't feel I'm gonna reach that age. I think I'm good for only 80 or less. I haven't taken care of my body properly :(
• Philippines
22 Nov 11
You could start taking your body properly, you may not live to be a hundred years old but you can add more years to your life by it. Thanks for sharing :)

I don't think i would want to live more than a hundred years. There is really no fun in leaving when you are already old and would have difficulty walking or even moving. So what's the use of leaving over a hundred years?..
• Philippines
22 Nov 11
It would still be fun if the problem is only difficulty in walking or moving. So long as you can still care for yourself. Take care, Kharlav!

yes, i would love to reach 100 years, if i am still strong , healthy and sharp in mind by that time. But if not, i would rather die already, specially if get to be a burden already to my children.

I understand that. It would be nice to live long and enjoy our children and grandchildren, but it would be difficult if you turn out to be a burden. Pray that it won't! Thanks for sharing, simplyd!

I would really thank God if I reach the age of 100. That only means that I have been fruitful all my life in order to reach that old. And yes, I would love to reach 100 years of age or more. I wanted to see the kind of life that people have in that age of mine. I am sure there are already a lot of changes and I would compare my life when I was still young than the life in aging 100.

I can imagine life at 100 so beautiful if you are still healthy, seeing your grandkids around you, no hunger, no debts, still able to breathe in fresh air and not polluted air, and contented with what life has brought. Thanks, cearn25. Happy mylotting!

Of course I would love to live to 100 or more so I can experience the most of live! If world problems are already where they are today, I fear how my elderly years will turn out because our teacher warned their would possibly be insufficient social security for my generation as we are running out of money in our government. I'm sure he said some other important stuff but I only got the gist of what he was saying! But I do want to enjoy my life fairly and live a long, prosperous life because that's how God intended us to walk the Earth!

Life is difficult already, especially for the poor. There are wars, disasters, insufficient foods and funds....etc. If you are in your 20's or 30's, would you be able to handle it when you reach 100? It's hard to tell, but what we have today, let's enjoy and keep on doing what matters most and what we know is right. Thank you for sharing, dellessimon :)

I will be very thankful if I live for 75 to 80 years without any pain or illness. That's really annoying if we force to live for 100 years, calling diseases, old age, duplicate teeth, wrinkles. Also, our children feels annoying when we call them for any help. Why to hurt our children if they are not interested in helping us? Rather we leave this world before all those diseases. Let our children live happily with their family, by the way it depends on GOD that how much time do we live in this world. Who knows may be tomorrow is our last day?
