Do a search for early childhood education. There you can get info on the development of your 11 year old. You'll find out why and how to fix it peaceably.

Like Victoria said instead of Chicken Nuggets, try abit of nuggets with potato and abit of other meat inside that potato. like camouflage. outer will look the same, but inner taste is mixed.

He's getting protein and fruit, it's ok. I would tell him that's fine but he has to have one vegetable with each meal. One serving spoon full. If he doesn't come out of his phase, he will at least have an appreciation for his vegetables.

May just be a phase. How long has he beein doing this? Do you give him a multivitamin? Have you spoken to his doctor about his eating habits?

At least he´s eating all the food groups (carbs, fat, protein & some vitamins). Try introducing new things slowly. Make his nuggets but put a few boiled potatoes on the plate or some vegetables or mash some vegetables into potatoes to get him to eat them. When he does try something new, give him a lot of praise. When he refuses things, instead of telling him off, remove the plate and try again next time. I´m sure this must be really frustrating for you but lots of kids go through these phases and they don´t affect their health generally. See a doctor if you´re worried though. Maybe you can get some other advice.

I have a 5 year old that is the same way, but he wont eat pb&j! He wants to live on pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries and toast with butter! I have tried everything, yet have never been able to make him eat ...we sit good food in front of him and without even trying it he tells us he doesnt like it! He did surprise me last week...while I was out with my daughter at cheer practice he asked his fater if he could have some corn and and a baked potato with a pork steak, although he didnt like it he atleast he tried it!!! So if you find the secret of making your child eat please pass it along to me!! I will be forever grateful!!!

What kind of bread in those sandwiches? See if you can work him up to more complex, whole-grain breads. Try simple wheat breads for a while, work in some of the breads with nuts and seeds if he can tolerate them. Try different dipping sauces with the chicken, and find other foods he can use those sauces on.
