I don't keep old, worn-out bills in my wallet. They smell.

In our country, there are still worn-out bills that are still circulated and used for payment transactions. So each time I get a crisp bill, I refrain from spending it and use instead the old ones. I don't even keep the old bills in my wallet. They smell and the smell sticks to my wallet. So I only keep those newer and crisper ones. Am I the only one doing this? :)

Just like you beamer, i don't like those old, worn bills in my wallet too. Usually i would keep them folded in my coin purse. And just like you, i keep the new ones but spend the old worn outs first. That way, they don't stay long in my coin purse.

It makes my coin purse smell, too. :) I usually put them in the pocket of my pants or shorts. At least, I can wash my those if the smell sticks to it.

Mine's leather so I can't wash it. I like leather stuff. Almost all my things are leather. Another idiosyncrasy of mine :)

It's inevitable that our coin purse will have a smell after using it for a long time. When that happens, i would usually wash it and use another coin purse for the time being. Usually i would alternately use the two purses for at least 2 months each.

Ooohh! I'd be happy to take them beamer! I accept old, new, taped, even coins. Well, as of the moment I'm unemployed. I have an important exam coming up so I resigned from work. Anyway, finances are very limited. I could even be considered a beggar waiting for alms from my brother and boyfriend. I have no qualms about smelly money at this point.

Haha, I'd love to but I can't. I said I didn't like the smell, I didn't say I didn't like the value and worth of those stinky bills :)

Even when you do send the money, I don't think we'll receive the exact bill. The smelly ones will stay in the remittance store. Why don't you just air them out? Or spray perfume on them?

Really? Remittance centers don't accept those old, worn-out, smelly bills? I didn't know that.

I don't keep old as well as new bills. I spend all the bills in my wallet! I don't have a habit of keeping any bills. I save them in the bank and what's left in my wallet goes on circulation all the time. So there's no need for me to keep anything at all.

I envy you for being able to spend all of them always :) I also save some in the bank. I just need to keep a few bills in my wallet. As a kid, my grandmother told me never to let my wallet run out of money (bills or coins) because I'd become poor if I let it. I know it's sort of a spinster's tale, but it never hurts to follow her advice :)
