Do you agree that love and compassion are the greatest human feelings?

I feel that the greatest human feelings are love and compassion and that these two can overcome anything the world can throw at us. Love for our fellow human beings can change the hardest heart to become gentle and more accommodating, while compassion can turn even the most hardened soul to one who understands kindness, sympathy and mercy. Do you agree?

Hi Pose: I agree. Actually I think that everything can be summarized in a word: love. Love for the ones that makes you happy and love for the world that is a precious gift. When you love you will feel compassion for the ones that don't have the same chances you have, the ones that are suffering, the ones that have lost it all and the ones that don't have love in their hearts.

I DO agree that "love" is important, but I think the actual feeling is 'satisfaction.'
It's possible that ALL feelings are 'levels of satisfaction' (or 'peace' or 'being okay-with stuff'). A possible exception may be 'humor,' but that could also be interpreted as 'a type of satisfaction' (sort of like how a baby cries until 'the disturbance he senses'is soothed 'satisfactorily').
Love and compassion are simply 'levels of satisfaction' one feels with regard to other people and their relative situations.
... or not ...

I do feel that these are great feelings but there are to many different feelings that I would only pick two. I have so many different feelings in me that picking two would be like only loving 2 children if I had 200. I could not give them all up but just 2. Love is great and so is compassion. But, I would want to keep the rest too.

I think it can. I have read such an article about people who have gone through so many trials and have overcome them - they become more compassionate, they become more forgiving and loving people. I believe that humans are really special and different from anything else in the world. We were given free will, great minds and even greater hearts.

My understanding is, as we are creation's of the Great Spirit,we are like, 'chips off the Olde Block'. Our Creator is a God of Love,a God who Loves Unconditionally and Absolutely,and a God who demands absolutely Nothing in return. God's Absolute love, absolves us of our Sins even before they are committed. Therefore as Children of God, His Love and Compassion are essential constituents in our minds and bodies, and that we are born with a natural understanding of kindness, sympathy, mercy,compassion, and Love!

when a person experiences feelings of love naisitna become better hpo careful and gentle kind that changes a person.
so I totally agree with you.
