One Person's Thanksgiving Is Another Persons's Sorrow

Tomorrow is a truly wonderful day in The United States. It is our Thanksgiving and part of the tradition is eating too much. The food and celebration is wonderful but the majority of Americans will eat too much. I plan on doing so. However,on Thanksgiving, I stop to reflect about The Native American people. Because when the while man came from Europe, the live of Native Americans would change forever. And for the worse for generations to come. In my lifetime, my government has sought to remedy some of the wrongs done to these tribes but it was late in coming. I am not a politically correct person but the politically correct community has helped raise my consciousness about Thanksgiving and what it represents to Native Americans. And I feel that I am a better person for it. On Thanksgiving, I will celebrate and give thanks. And I will eat too much. But I also plan to reflect upon the hardships that the Native American people endured at the hands of White Europeans.

Yes you are Thanksgiving is not only to eat, is to think about those people because of we can celebrate this day, and whom gave us the good example of showing appreciation and being thankful, to the others and God.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Who are you spending it with? I usually spend it alone because I have no family and only a few casual friends but nevertheless I do celebrate and I am thankful.

How is that ? That you don't have family? Does they live away? In my case I will spend my family with the family of my husband.

So you don't have kids or a couple? Do you belong to any religion? Maybe you can have your thanksgiving there? In case of not , take this day like it is a Thursday more, because every day must be a Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving this year means Football. The Lions- Packers game is more important than food or the history of the day this year. I must confess I don't think about how the English shafted the 500 Nations. Sorry. If there were true justice All of us would leave safe the remains of the 500 nations.

Well, you have a lot to give thanks for. There is football galore. I don't care for sports so I will eat a lot, spend a lot of time on line and watch television. We have beautiful weather today and for that, I am thankful. I am also in good health. And that is always something to give thanks for.
