Sorry I just curious ..... If you make / start discussion, are you reply every posts on your discussion ?? In my case, the truth is I'm not reply all of them, only few of them. I do that because: 1. My English is poor, it hard for me to answer/reply every responds 2. My Internet connection is slow. It take time to find out or answer responds in my discussion But even I didn't respond on every post on my discussion, I still rate/respect every post even attack me (sometimes I get 1 or 2) What about you guys? Happy lotters Note: If someone not get my responds, I'M SORRY

I don't necessarily reply to every response I get and I tend to give '+' ratings only to those which materially contribute to the discussion and are of good quality (even if they are disagreeing with me ... a discussion is, after all, a collection of opinions and not everyone should have the same opinion or it isn't really a discussion!). People will ONLY ever get negative ratings from me if they are clearly abusing MyLot (and that usually means that I will report the post as well). When I do reply (and, if it is my own discussion, that is most of the time), I try to make the response 'open' so that people are encouraged to come back and make further comments. A comment which ends with 'Thanks for responding' or 'Have a nice day' or something like that tends to automatically 'close' the discussion. On its own, it apparently (or really) means "I disagree with you but I'm too polite to say so." ... in which case, it would have been better to say nothing! I don't usually mind if my response doesn't get a reply, so long as I can see that some of the other responses have. It may be that I have said much the same as someone else, so just repeating the reply would not serve any real purpose. After all, in a 'live' discussion, the person leading the discussion may very often reply to several people at once.

Very short comments like 'Thanks for responding' won't earn anything and, in fact, can harm your reputation. It always annoys me when people complain that their earnings are low and I look at their profiles to see that they either haven't bothered to reply in their discussions or all that they say is 'Thanks for responding'. I suppose, however, that they can't always be blamed: many people have come here because of a blog or site which told them that 'MyLot pay you 1 cent for every post' or 'You get paid according to the number of responses you get'! I do understand how difficult it is for some people whose English is poor but, at the same time, I see plenty who make a very good effort to reply. Nearly always it is easy to understand what they are saying, even though they are obviously struggling with English! I have seen many people make really great improvements with their English, so MyLot is one of the best ways I know of learning and practicing the art of writing and discussing! I think its quite OK (and polite, of course) to thank someone as long as you have something to say afterwards (as you usually do!).

Thanks for your respond (I hope you not think that this discussion become closed) I agree with you when we only responds with thanks, have nice day or something similar, it better not to say anything. For me; even these sound cruel or impolite, that kind of words not contribute anything to discussion (I'm not sure get paid either)

I disagree with you, and I am not too polite to say so. I also try to make my responses open, so that there is more to comment on. It does not necessarily bother me if I do not get a comment on my response, although I do like to get them. However, when my response is the only one (or one of only a few) that does not get a comment while all (or most) of the others do, then I do tend to wonder what was so wrong about my response that it was not worthy of a reply.

I am a bit annoyed when I don't receive a comment : several new members are thinking that they have not to comment the responders, but if an old member never comments a response, I don't respond to new discussions started by this member after a while. Personally, I comment every responder when he/she is not off-topic or a one-liner. As we don't receive notifications for comments on comments, I am often late when the discussion is more than a few days old, and I can miss some of them. Note: saying that your English is poor is no excuse : you have to comment this response written in a poor English.

Yes, I comment back to all the responses on my discussions. In fact, sometimes I comment back to all the responses on discussions started by other people as well, especially if it is a topic that interests me. I think that is the way that discussions should be, although I realize that not everybody feels the same way about it.

I do not have a problem with you. It seems from the responses that you have left here that not only are you better at English than you give yourself credit for but also that you have a sense of humor, which is good, at least in my opinion. I also notice that you have commented back to every responder, and some you have commented back to more than once, so what would there be to have a problem with?

"sometimes I comment back to all the responses on discussions started by other people as well" It is certainly why some members are never commenting back : they are waiting for somebody like you. I also think that Olleenz is doing a "discussion complex" : he is a good responder and his humor is appreciated.

You will have to say sorry to yourself because the more comments you give on responses the more you will earn. So get going Olleenz and earn as much as you can and this you can do by putting your comments on the responses that you receive to your topic. You not only earn you also develop a bond with the users in the community.

Olleenz, you have to comment back well , on the responses to your discussion. That way, you will earn for every quality comment you will make. Even if your discussions gets a lot of responses, but you don't comment well, on them , they will not earn.

Earning based on activity I think you wrong this time. Even I didn't make respond on other members post on my discussion, they still get paid as long they not abusing system (automatically deleted by admin). One thing for sure; if I didn't make responds, the discussion itself become less interactive. Good discussion happen if communications appear between two or more people isn't? Happy lotters

No, what i mean with my last sentence , is your discussion will not let you earn unless you comment back on the responses. For those who responded to your discussion, of course they earn.

I respond to tons of discussions that I don't get replies back on. I don'think I'd know. It's not a big deal to mee. Its at the bottom of my prority list of things to worry about. t

We only get notification for new post. If just comment on earlier post, we don't get any. I think because Mylot consider it that post not our discussion but own by our responder. Based on this, I think we must visit our old discussion sometimes to check comment on post which already exist (I miss this part in my old discussion .....hehehe) For some people, not getting respond back from us maybe not a big deal but a lot of members need respond/comment on their post at least to inform them that we already read their post (I learn it in this discussion ...... hehehehe) Happy lotters Note: I hope my make correct reply on this due my problem

I have started some discussions where I have commented on every response and I have started some discussions where I didn't comment on every response yet. I always try to comment on every response, but in one of my recent discussions I got more than 50 responses and I didn't manage to comment on the responses on the last pages yet. I am very happy to get many responses, but it takes time to get back to everyone. I also have other discussions where I didn't get around all the responses yet, but I plan on doing it in the future. I like "talking" to the members who respond and I think it is great way to get to know them better.

I always try, to respond, all the responses that I can. MyLot pays what we do. So, it would be better, if we respond, the response we receive. In addition, I want to always interact with, all members of myLot. I will not be disappointed, if you do not respond, the response from me. Because, this is no big deal. And I do not bear the loss, if you do not respond, the response from me. You do not have to apologize for this.

Hi Olleenz, i am always trying my best to comment back as much as possible to every of my discussions. But, sad to say that recently i am having less time to online, so unable to comment back to much of my discussions. But, i will always jump back to my old discussions and comment back whenever i am free. Because i like to see myself as the last person to comment back on my own discussions. Only give me more time, then i will surely give comment to all those who had response to my discussions.

Hi Yes I do. I comment back all of them. So far I am doing this without forgetting but delay can be their in responding all of them. If we see in earning point of view.. This habit is good. I mean our own discussion is the best place where we can write more, I mean its better than the searching for the other discussions. And also if we reply all of them chances of discussion will increase. That's what is mylot all about. :)

You mention delay ..... I think I must admit that I make mistakes in this part. I mean, when I start making delay (usually on heavy discussion or too many responds), I forgot to visit my discussion in the next day. I learn my lesson now, I hope I can be better for my next discussion. Happy lotters

As much as possible I try to respond to as many as I can sometimes I even go back to my old discussions from weeks ago to answer new response or those responses that I wasn't able to comment back to at that time. You should try to do it also, it helps us earn more and learn more because we can talk more about the topic and you can build up friendship from long conversations with the people who respond to your post.

uhm I think after months is not a good idea, maybe a week is just okay I do that sometimes like when my discussion have more than 30 responses and after responding to about half of it I can't think of any other thing I can say to the rest of the responses without repeating all I said in my previous replied so I just leave it for a while then after a few days or a week I will start to reply again.

At first, I do respond back on the comments very often. But now I realized that I have to respond back to them. For me it means that I appreciate their response and should be given attention. In that way, I can build a relationship with them and earn money at the same time. Happy mylotting!

I do make friends with them. These are the people that give you great ideas and response. In my case, I post on discussions that interest me. If some of my friends made a discussion but out of the range of my knowledge, I don't respond. I can't say anything because I do not have an idea. Happy mylotting!

I really appreciate the opinion of the others even if I knew that their comments do not hit the comments with the ongoing discussion. It's not a big deal. Hello Olleenz, Responding and commenting is what a discussion is called.I always comment back and expect OP to comment back however delays are acceptable. I think you must comment back to the responder as this is the way you acknowledge a person that you have read the response.Secondly you don't earn till you comment back to the responses so you must comment back.

I do not reply to every reply on my discussion but here's what I do; I check back on my thread to see if its going well or not and if it is, I will pick 2 or 3 to reply too and maybe the discussion will benefit from it! I just don't have the time to reply to everyone's input and for that I sincerely apologize, but I do make sure to rate the users who were on point. If the person appears to be somewhat off topic, I still rate them positively. If someone missed the boat, and mentions something that someone has already previously said, then I may negatively rate them. This is very rare, as I am happy that that person I increasing my thread activity!

My brain start to freeze, I never give negative rate to someone even he/she attack me. For what? Mylot is discussion site, it normal to have different opinion or even close to attacking. In my opinion if we don't like someone post (for particular reason), it better not giving any rate at all. If we give negative rate, these also affect our reputation. Visit this link for confirmation: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx Am I reply correctly??
