Today, I looked back on how the Internet has shaped my life in the past few years. I was a member of Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, several forums, several blogs, several email services, several browser and application games, and a lot of online earnings sites! I'm pretty much everywhere on the Internet but the one thing I attempt to be very precise with, isnthe information I release because I like to feel my privacy is still withstood. So the question is, do you feel safe on the Internet? In the case of online shoppers, do you feel safe when giving credit card information or an accurate shipping address? Do you keep your private information to yourself, because I know I do? What are your views on the topic of online safety?

I always feel safe online. I am safe shopping online at a secure website. You remind us of an extremely important point. Never disclose your private or financial information to anyone. PERIOD!

If you are talking about money transactions over the internet, yes I feel safe, I just look first at the https before the website name and I know that it is safe plus I can see that they also put some security features like comodo or northorn. While in social media I always hold on to my real identity, but so far I never been have a problem in the internet when it comes with bank or money transactions. For me using internet is more convenient than meeting with the dealer.

I don't feel that I'm being protected online. Same as you, I have also released my information to so many websites. I do feel worried about that. Although the websites have guaranteed that they would take measures to protect our privacy, I just couldn't feel at ease. New technoloties come out everyday and there are hackers everywhere. One day if they broke into the system and got our personal information, then we would be put in great danger. When shopping online, I never give my real name or put too much money into my accout so that the loss wouldn't be too large if my account was stolen. Maybe I am too nurvous and cautious but you know, the Internet is full of fake information. I think we all have to pay close attention.

I never think that Internet is a safe. As you can see, Facebook i a well protected social network. Still it is hacked which means that hackers are very powerful and have the ability to have our secret data easily. What do you think ?

I always give credit card information or PP information to trusted sites. They shouldn't be a danger. Anyway before i register on earning sites i check out some other forums too see if they are legit not scam (i did this with myLot too ). You shouldn't be in danger on the internet.

I have been online for quite a time. I also had my share of purchasing online. But I guess there is no such thing as completely safe online. There are so many ways that our account can be hacked. Even those that have high security settings can be hacked. Though people constantly update security measures, hackers also constantly study and innovate to find ways to gather important details and vital information. It is always best to be cautious all the time and do not give out personal details online particularly credit card information, access codes like password and pins.

Hi dellessimon45, Technology has its own advantages and disadvantages, with web now the communication has become fast and the world has become global village. New friends, easy communication with others around the globe with the advent of Internet. At the same time the personal privacy has become subtle. We have to protect our personal information to the maximum extent. Not giving complete information on any site is the only way that doesn't mean to give false info, I do not give my phone no anyway. We have to protect ourselves and our information. Happy Living calpro

i feel safe enough in internet, but not at all sites. i cant trust everysites that i have visited. i will try to look the information, if the site is credible or not. i will not giving mt credit card information,i feel not safe for this one. it is too risky to let someone know about my credot card information. i also hide some of my private information. nowadays, online safety is still developing become more safe, but there are still many people that try to jack our information, i think we have to be more careful in giving our information.
