Are you making the Right Choices for yourself????

God gave us total freedom to make our choices and shape our lives. There are many influences that shape that decision. Family, friends, religion, society, movies, advertising, and peer pressure are some of them. Are you allowing these influences to ruin your life by influencing your choices? Example: Keeping up with the Jones. Do you look at what your friends and neighbors have then fight and fight to get the very same things?? Maybe you want to get more or something better than them. Maybe you starve yourself trying to look like a runway model or soap opera star. Is popularity really that important?? Is the fight to fit in or be like everyone else, really a valid goal?? There is no one in the universe exactly like you. Do you really want to alter that which is special about you?? The people in your life really need you as you are. For me, people are the most important. I love interacting and getting down to the spiritual level with most everyone. I find that is where the Gold is really at. I drive an old beatup pickup truck. I wear no-name shoes and jeans. I will never ever buy jewlery. Am I keeping up with the Jones?? Not on your life!!! I am making my own path! I AM GOING TO BE ME NO MATTER WHAT!!!! You know, that is what God, you and everyone will be happiest with. Life doesn't have to be hard. Let's Think about our choices then choose. Choosing is too important to allow others to do it for us. Through all the good and bad choices we make in life we will learn in time which are the best choices for our future.

You know, I don't wear designer's outfits nor have any valuable jewelries, but I certainly want to be well dressed and wear some jewelries if I have any. Do I have to starve myself to get it all, I don't. When I make a choice I make certain that is really what I really want and I will work damn hard not to regret my decision...

Hmmm?? Isn't the real beauty in you, rather than in all those fancy clothes and jewelry?? I would be just as happy if you showed up in a burlap bag, barefoot as long as you have your SMILE!!

your quote:Really, then how do you fare meeting all those homeless? People who live under a bridge.answer: I do meet my share of people lending a hand most all the time. There are many issues to consider with troubles in the world. I am working on things as we speak. As far as retarded people who smile without understanding what they do,since you have never been retarded, you can't see their view. Finally, there are great souls who volunteer to go through great adversity in order that someone else might see or understand. It is a gift to us all. People change people. Often they have to be exactly who they are. Sorry I was a bit late on returning your comment. There were many people who had a dire need for my help. I was too busy to get back quickly. That doesn't mean I don't love.

Really, then how do you fare meeting all those homeless? People who live under a bridge? People who can only smile cause to lift even a hand that would be a hardship for them? Retarded people who smile with any understanding of what they do?

Nothing to worry. I am that I am and proud of it. If - according to you= I have learned nothing- so be it. That is your opinion to which you are entitled.

I do know what I want, and I didnt make it up by looking at any of my friends or relatives. In fact, it is often the other way round. I dont spend much for all that either. So I dont have to resort to wrong ways of earning the required sum. :)

Yes, we must be true to ourselves rather than allowing others to talk us into a life we don't want to live. If we search our souls then choose, somehow it works out the best for the learning and growing of everyone. Yes, I agree. The spiritual things carry so much more value. Few take working day and night to get. There was a famous actor who said he was surprised at all the big money he made so fast. He realized that he could buy any and everything. Having this capability, he soon realized all the material things really mean nothing at all. Think how much effort that would save if we could learn that lesson before we kill ourselves trying to keep up with the Jones.
