Well, if you are happy enough with free blog, you should try the great feature on Blogger, Wordpress, or Weebly. But if you want to purchase a premium domain, you can buy an .info domain for $2.99/year in http://www.namecheap.com/ And for the hosting, there are various package, but simply said: less budget means less storage and less bandwidth. Simply match it with your own needs. Or you can choose the free hosting on this list: http://www.free-webhosts.com/webhosting-01.php And about the domain, there are also some free domain out there, like co.cc. Now it's completely your choice.

THere are many that provide free website but they will give you custom name which contain the name of the host that provides those free websites. It like blogger or wordpress! Well if you wan have your own custom domian for that you have to register it and then get some host that going to host your website. I am here in INDIA and once i just ry big rock that cost me nearly Rs 5000 for 10 year registration and hosting. That is about 100$ host plus monthy charges. If you try you can get less of that on many of the vendors like godaddy.

That was my dream years ago, I wanted to do a tribute page to a friend, a web designer offered to one for me for free but I wanted to do it myself, from the heart so he told me I already have the easiest web tool on my computer and that is a part of "word". others told me that you can't build a webpage in word but I did and once you get the hang of it, it is easy not the safest if you are going to have a shop or anything on it but for an information page as mine is, it is perfect but there are many free webpage creators on line, good luck.

You can create free blogs using blogger. Similarly you have several free blogging software available on the Internet.Weebly is also a free blogging software that can be used by you. You can also use Wordpress.org for free. It all depends on what exactly is your requirement right now.

Well, it sort of depends on why you want a website and what you want to do with it. If you just want to have a personal website, there are places you can get free webspace to build a small site. If you just want to express yourself, you can start a blog at blogspot or other free blog sites. If you are looking to have an internet commerce type of site or online business, you'll have to go the more professional route and register a domain name and pay for hosting. Check my profile for links to more info on building your own website, hosting etc. I have a page of my website devoted to it. Even going this way and paying for hosting though, you can do it for less than $100 per year. It's not as expensive as a lot of people think.

You may launch it totally free of cost at webs.com, weebly.com etc. And if you are interested in launching a free blog for you, you may opt for blogger.com.

I would say get a blog on blogger, wordpress or squidoo. They're good because it's free and already has a community behind it meaning you'll get good traffic in it. The one with best backgroung and page costumization is blogger(i think).
