Hello dear fellows.. This one doesn't come from a child. I'm 29 yrs old man. And yes, I still watch cartoons. I love them. They're so innocent and funny. There's something so straight about them. I'm talking about Tom & Jerry... It is my favorite series. I watch it on television and on internet too... There is one more series known as 'The Three Stooges'. Its not a cartoon though. It is story of 3 idiots who work honestly to make their living. They're very innocent too.. However, I feel embarrassed when someone sees me watching cartoons. So I thought I'd better make a confession here :-)... Do you also watch cartoons?? Would you like others to know about it???

Yes and I am already 51 years old. I love Tom and Jerry, Peppa pig, Mr.Bean, The mickey mouse club. I have learned to love watching those because of my daughter and I have no choice but to sit beside her and watch cartoons. As I watch, I do find myself laughing also. And the Peppa pig is a good one too as it gives moral values, it shows one very good, happy family. As I see it, cartoons do impart to the mind of children the good manners and right conduct. It is a good guide for the children to learn academically and be good in their character. Only, be careful because they do imitate what they see and so as much as possible do not let them watch violent one. As for adult,it is our advantage to go back to our innocence to sometimes feel the happiness of naivety.

Hello.. Thanks a lot for sharing... I agree with you upon both of the points. Yes, they are good for kids, morally speaking.. But the imitation of those characters is not good... And for adults it is good because it reminds me of the good Ol' days and innocence.. I am glad to read it from you. Your post is based on vast experience... Thanks a lot once again. Have a good day!

Hi... Thanks for sharing.. No, there is nothing wrong in watching cartoons... I'm only afraid of some taciturn people who would think of me getting childish... LOL... At this age, I'd not like to be termed as childish... ;-). Thanks!

There is definitely nothing wrong with watching cartoons. However some immature people may bad mouth or make fun of us. It is your choice whether to be affected by those indecent comment.

Yes, I have been watching cartoons since I've been a kid and still enjoy the odd now and again. I prefer cartoons like the Simpsons and humourous ones, and used to like Road Runner and Tom and Jerry, but I don't see that on TV so often these days, probably because I don't get to see much TV. I really don't think there is anything wrong with this. I fact as a Zen practitioner, I tend to take the seriousness out of life anyway, and even great Zen masters have been known to behave like children.. I thing it is good that you enjoy life.. It really doesn't matter what others who think it is not appropriate think anyway.. Enjoy! _Derek

Hello guys... Thanks a lot... I'm not sure if they still have road runner show on the active list; but tom and jerry is surely there.. It is admirable, your tendency to take away the seriousness from life... I don't know much about Zen practises... What is it??? Please let me know...

The basis of Zen practice is the meditation (called zazen in Zen). There is a link on my profile that explains it in more detail. _Derek

Well there are some really entertaining cartoons to watch. I for one enjoy this Tom Sawyer series in cartoons. I never really imagine myself liking cartoons at this point in my life. I used to think that cartoons are just for kids but when I got the chance to watch The Adventure of Tom Sawyer I was really fascinated and could not help but watch the seriesthrough and through. I don't even feel ashamed to tell others I watch this cartoon. In fact I even encourage them to watch as well so they'd enjoy just as I do.

Oh yes, they're very lovely... I felt immense pity for Huck initially, but I recognized that Huck didn't need my pity. He is happy in his world... So happy that when the widow tried to provide him with material happiness, he gave it up... LOL.. Both of them remind me of my childhood, which was colorful & happy. I really wish I could live those days. Being adult is so hateful, stressful & life's repulsive... I hate for what I've become... And Tom Sawyer makes me go into my dream world again...

Yes dear I've been reading the book too and I'm delighted just as well. My son has this book and I got interested to read it after I started watching the cartoons. Tom Sayer and Huck Finn are lovable characters. I so love them and even Aunt Polly the rest of the cast are truly delightful.

They had Jem on for a while! Waiting for them to re-air Heman & Shera! There's not hing wrong with watching cartoons! And, if someone thinks differently, i don't really care! ;-)

Yes I stil watch cartoons. I do have kids as well but I watch them with the kids just because I like them. I also really like eeyore so I will continue to watch Winnie the Pooh just to watch eeyore. He is my hero.....lol. There is no shame in enjoying something as innocent as cartoons. I myself really do not care what other people think of me because of it. Everyone I know knows that I like eeyore.

Hi Lisa... Your idea of watching them with kids is excellent... Your kids must be feeling that they are the luckiest kids, as not many parents like cartoons... :-). Bless you and the kids... I love kids too and I love to play with them. If I ever marry, I'll surely enjoy cartoons with my kids... Thanks a lot...

Yes, i loved to watch cartoons even up till now. They are a form of relaxation for me, and also bringing me back to my childhood days. I like the bright colors used in cartoons, not forgetting those kiddish voices too. Tom & Jerry is always my favourite and it's funny to see both of them bullying each other. Another favorite of mine has to be, Doraemon because of his cute body shape. He has a magical pouch that has everything one needs and it's interesting.

Hi Miss.. Thanks a lot... Yes, their childish voices are good to hear. I love their innocence. Even in their efforts to bully each other they don't lose their innocence. I love that... In the world, where almost everyone is attempting to play trickery to go forward, tom n jerry's innocence is appealing... Thanks a lot Miss!

I totally agree, I am 33 years old and I love watching cartoons. I normally sit down with my children every night after their homework and watch cartoons with them including my hubby. My son once in a while asks to put in movies in the DVD, such as Cars, Cars 2, Superhero Squad and the funny part is that most of the time, my hubby and I get more into the cartoons than they do. This weekend we are planning on going to see Happy Feet 2 I hear that it is adorable. My daughter is excited to see it, but I feel like I want to see more than they do. I can't wait to see it.

Of course I still watch cartoons because they are funny and very creative! My favorite two cartoons are Johnny Test and Spongebob Squarepants! Those two cartoons are friendly too all ages and even if you're the maturest of people, you can still find some joy in the adventures of Spongebob and Patrick! I don't care if people are aware that I watch cartoons because a lot of my friends still watch cartoons! There's nothing wrong with being a kid for a bit or moment in your adulthood!
