I believe that reading is a very important part of life, and that people, all people, should read as often as they can. I personally am an avid reader. Do you think that reading is an important part of day to day life? why?

I'm totally an avid reader too. I enjoy it. It gives me something to do, and is somewhat an escape from every day life (and the mundane-ness of it all). I think in a way it keeps our brains working as well, although I don't know if there's any science to back that statement up. . happy reading!

Reading is indeed important. Not only it broadens your horizon, to me, reading keeps my mind occupied and I need it.

In my opinion, reading is very important. We should read as much as we can. because reading can widen one's sight and expand one's horizon.Plus, we can pick up something when we read.I like reading magazines expecially fashion design.

Reading expands your horizons and you learn about people and places and situations that you will never encounter in your life. It can open your eyes to this huge world we live in, with all the different cultures and ways of life. Reading can also challenge you to think differently or to discover things about yourself and others. It also helps you see others in a different light. That's besides plain learning about whatever subject you enjoy. Our world would be drab and boring without the experiences that reading brings.

i agree with so much vigor that reading is very important. however, in some countries, reading is quite unpopular with all the visual satisfaction easily overwhelms the potential reader. because i believe that reading brings intangible benefits to the reader. and it is saddening that the readers are missing these things.

I think it's good to keep your mind exercising. I don't read novels or anything like that for fun as I usually put them down and loose track of what I already read. I spend alot of time reading books to my kids since it's required for school. But I do feel anything bound and made of paper and no batteries makes reading worth wild to me.

I can't speak for other people's preferences, but reading is an important part of my daily life.

I love reading but it depends. I hate those kinds of book that use like one hundred words just to explain a story that could have been told in ten words. I like books that go direct to the point. I specially read magazines, comics and mangas specially because of that, I even saw a book once called Maias that used thirty pages just to explain the wall of a house, so you can be sure i hated that book xP. Thanks for reading and sorry for the bad english in some sentences :)

Hi, there. I think reading is really important activity to be done. By reading, I can understand the outer world that I never visited, I also can understand the writer way of thinking, writer's culture, writer's interest and so on. I can be wiser and have wider knowledge. It also can save me in boring situation or facing the unwanted people to meet. I am not an avid reader now but I was. I really enjoy to read many books, I feel I could become the part of those books actor. Now. I don't have enough time to read, I'm too busy for reading many books as I did. When I was at school I ca read two or three books once a week but in the recent time I read one book in a month. I miss the time reading books. It is really great activity.

Reading is definitely important. It can sharpen your mind as far as intellect and other things. Besides, it doesn't matter what you're reading, it can take you places you would never be able to go. If you were to read a book about Spain, you'd get to "go there." If you were reading a romance about early 1800 pirate, you'd be right on that ship. It just depends on where you want to take it. I don't get a chance to read as much as I used to, now that I have 3 children, but I do listen to audio books. It's as close to reading as you can get, plus you can do it in the car. It's all good.
