FaceBook is a great site to promote your blogs, I think you all know that. If you have a lot of FaceBook friends and if you share your articles over there on FaceBook, you will get good traffic to your blogs. Moreover you should mutually like your friends' blogs so that others will have an interest to have a look at your most liked blogs.Mylot bloggers can make friends at FaceBook and mutually like each other's articles. It will be a win win situation for all, what do you say?

I have a basic suggestion for you. Share your site on your wall and make your friends share your blog on their walls of Facebook.

hi, tkarabulut , thanks for the suggestions. I can share my site on my wall, that's possible. But I don't think my online FaceBook friends would like to share my site on their walls. Anyway it's a point to note for the bloggers.

I haven't experienced promoting blogs through Facebook because my blog is mainly for personal use and not for business. I believe Facebook can help a lot when promoting an article or website if you have plenty of friends there.

Yes, I am a blogger, and I get people coming to my blogs from both Facebook and Twitter. In fact I have both accounts linked, so when I twit about something it also appears on my facebook pages. I think it is important though to really build up friendships on all social media sites and not have every post trying to sell something or a link to some business. I also share interesting videos or funny stories and that makes sure that I don't keep promoting all the time, as most people don't want to buy things or get involved in business on line. _Derek

Absolutely right! I just set up my blog 2 months ago and wallah, with the help of Facebook and other social networking sites, including MyLot and Twitter of course, my blog is now receiving a noble traffic for a beginner. It is really a WIN-WIN situation. We must be resourceful and creative in promoting our blogs and of course, high-quality content and user engagement. By the way, my blog is: www.LYNNELLEMMANUEL.info Check it out! :D

Yes I am a blogger. Facebook is a huge site which helps you generate more traffic. With the help of my friend, I've created a Facebook page for my blog. I share in my Facebook page my published post. I also post it in our group so that the members of that group will be updated with my recent post. It helps me get traffic to my blog. And posting it in Facebook is free. You are free to visit my blog: http://ego43.blogspot.com/ Feel free and enjoy reading. Have a nice day!...

Thank you for the information. Because I barely blog. I do belong to some blog sites as well as writing groups. I will have to do this. Then I would make sure that they were interesting. How does the payout work? Also I agree about reading the ones that read mine. I already do that since I write a lot of poetry, so I might as well put those efforts into getting paid.

Personally I am not a blogger, I have been considering it for quite sometime, but lately I don't have the time to devote to blogging. Between work, kids (school work) and my school work, I don't even have time for myself. But you do bring up a valid point, promoting your blogs through FB would definitely be a bonus in the trafficing/promoting them. I never really thought about that. Thanks for the good advise, I hope that within a few months, once I complete by Bachelor's I could dedicate my time to it.

hi, henkiprananda, Good to note you use Facebook to promote your articles. In my opinion, you can't earn much from Shvoong. You can try Triond, Experts Column and Factoidz instead. Stay away from Hubpages and Bukisa.

yes i am a blogger, and i often using facebook for promote my blog. it is really effective i think, the information will spread so fast through facebook., and for promoting my blog, i always make a good topic that i will share in my blog and it will be showed in facebook wall. i think it is more effective than only give my bloglink. with using facebook., i don't have to share my blog information to each people, just share in a big group, and my blog become famous. but from mylot bloggers, i never try it. maybe sometime i will try it. cheers.

I have almost 600 Facebook friends but my percentage only 5% of them viewed my blog. I don't think facebook is a good media to promote your blog. Well, I guess other members might react to my observation. This is just based upon my own observation. I got a good traffic by promoting my blog posts in stumbleupon, Digg, Linkedin and commenting other blogs.

While it's good to spam one's wall with own articles and having enough acquaintances to get those eyeballs' attention, I think it still boils down to having interesting topics to talk about and good writing for a blog to have constant readership. Even with 5000 friends, a constant stream of boring and poorly written articles will eventually lose the interest of those 5000 people. That said, there are also networks you can join to cross-promote blogs.

I can't agree more vinzer . I fully agree with each word of your response. I also believe that there are still a few networks that we can join to cross-promote our blogs. In my opinion some bloggers are using FaceBook in a big way and get big traffic to their blogs and earn more money eventually.

I have my own blog and I have under each post the social networks share buttons which include Facebook so I let people share my articles with their friends on their accounts but I don't share it my self since all of my contacts are my family members and friends, although I don't have a Fan page but I have heard and read a lot of articles about how could bloggers benefit from having Fan pages. hope you have a very great day vijayanths.

hi, icciev, I understand that you are not sharing your articles with popular social bookmarking sites as all your readers are your friends and relatives. My suggestion is you still have to share your articles with the top social sites yourself, so that you will get more traffic to your blogs.

Hi vijayanths, well thanks for your comment, I totally agree with you. I do submit my articles my self using social networks like twitter, tumblr and stumbleupon, but I don't like the idea to submit only to facebook. Thanks again for your time an your comment. Appreciated..
