I've watched 5 movies last night because I wasn't having an internet connection. But at least I have seen the movies which I have been keeping for some months now One of it is The Devil's Double. I think it wasn't shown in my country. I thought it was a horror flick and downloaded it since mom is a horror movie fanatic So I watched it and found out it was actually based on a true story of Latif Yahia, an Iraqi soldier who was chosen by Uday Hussein, Saddam Hussein's oldest son, to be his double. The film shows how cruel and maniac Uday is. Well, I don't know much about Sadam Hussein and his family. If this is true, I am really amazed to know that they really find people that looks like them to stand as their double. They're rich and powerful and you can never say to them. This is a must-watch film for me.

Wow! I haven't watched that movie yet. But I think I'll not try to. I don't want to see any kind of cruelty whether it's to animals or humans. At first, I also thought it's a horror film because that's what I read from your post LOL I can't also watch horror movie. I don't want to scare myself. Sometimes, I am dreaming about the movie I watched and I don't want to have bad dreams.

They're rich and powerful and you can never NO say to them. -- that's what I meant there I have a friend who hates watching horror films too because she said she's dreaming about it as well... yup that film has cruelties. So if you can't see violence or killings in a film I wouldn't suggest you watching it.

Hi henki, The movie I am saying is not actually a horror film. It's an Action/Drama film based on a true story. Yup you could search it on the net and maybe watch it too.

Hello enelym, I read your discussion title and I also thought it’s a horror film but when I read the discussion its not. I haven’t watched this film but it is really interesting, though not interesting enough for me, I would rather watch real horror films.

hi enelym Wonder why you kept that avatar in the hiding Your mom and my wife are similar - at least in watching these horrible, oh sorry, Horror flicks. Wait. Before you think - Horrible because to me all these Horror flicks of today seem so very similar... they are more of Special Effects on screen and sounds they think are eerie... anyways. I am no saddam but I believe in this - There are 7 people in the world who look quite the same... (please dont ask me who told me this) and I am still to find one of mine

My praaji on #2 above mentions Saddam had 3 known doubles(that should be triples but I wonder why they keep calling it doubles) and even you mention many keep telling you that you look like someone they know....(mmm... a common line around at my place for flirting)... but all this does raise my hopes... When I am quite rich... some day, then I will definitely put up an advert to find all the 7 of me

hello sids it's kept into hiding because it wasn't required here to put a real photo. Initially I thought I wouldn't enjoy here at myLot. Turns out I am here everyday I know what you mean and totally agree with you... have you also noticed that all Final destination movies are the same except for the actors playing the role... it's becoming a bit boring as they don't think of a good story line. Wow, seven is too much! Well you gotta start finding your double Well as for me, a lot have been saying I looked like someone they know, so it's no surprise if one day I bumped into someone that looks like me.

Ohh... never heard of that movie. I don't think this is a ghost horror type of movie, so this is more like the 'saw' series where they show brutal tortures and other cruelties?

Hi Aja, Not really. This movie is Action/Drama based on a true story of the person who was forced to act like he is Sadam Hussein's son.

The Devil's Double is about a man who is forced to become Saddam Hussein's sons double as he looks alike, I liked the film, the concept was good and a well made film. I found the film interesting ...

Devil's Double- the title alone says everything about Uday. I will consider watching this one. Have you tried watching "Ghajini"- it's not a horror movie, not a true story, might be true somewhere. It's one of the best movie I've ever seen. Look for sub-titles, it's an Indian movie. It's worth the watch...or the "3 Idiots" another Hindi movie to give you a good laugh and cry

I haven't seen Ghajini or 3 Idiots but I think I will try searching for that since you said it's one of the best you've ever seen looks like you're fond of watching foreign films. I have watched one Indian film too I just can't remember the title. That was given to me by an Indian friend but sadly someone has borrowed it and never returned it. Oh and of course I've seen your movie too, Slumdog Millionaire!

sounds interesting thanks for sharing. i think it's never hard to find a look alike.. there are many movies made about dictators in the past years and they always found great actors to play that role.

I think that's true, it's not so hard to look for one. Most people have lookalike and normally they would just put on some make up to make it more look like the person they're portraying.
