Is Facebook all that matters now?

I don't understand some people that are living their lives through Internet or fb. I mean I also have a fb account, or other accounts on some forums, I like to talk to people about hobbies and stuff but from here and updating your status every5 min or haveing fights with your lover....I just think it is to much. But what do u think?

I don't understand how people can spend hours on Facebook every day.
For me it is very boring and I don't have an account there too.I prefer reading a book or working out or doing something more useful.And I like Mylot way better too,here you can learn something unlike Facebook.
