As we Filipinos know, today, is a legal since it is Bonifacio Day. This is a nice day for all employees, because in the middle of the work week they have a rest day. I for myself, is very happy for this day, because I will truly just enjoy the day, because husband is at work (their job requires them to be present even on Holidays, though it’s 200% pay) . So here I am , mylotting after opening my facebook to check on my daughter’s status update. But oh before that, I prayed and made some readings and meditations from the the Bible. It truly made me prepared & enthusiastic to go on through my day. Now, I have the whole day for myself . I would just have to cook lunch in an hour before it, but meanwhile I will enjoy mylotting After lunch I will do my pedicure and maybe take a nap but if not, I will continue Mylotting. At night, I will prepare for dinner and wait for husband so we could watch our favorite TV shows together. Oh , how I love this holiday!. How about you guys?

At least the Holiday, has given us time to do things we like to enjoy, right shane? So you like shopping alone too. Just like you i always shop alone. If it's something that i will buy for my husband or daughter, i would let them go with me , so they can choose. It's better that way, so they will get what they really like, not what i like for them.

just like your mom, i always find the taste of my daughter a bit old fashioned. My choices are not her choices. So, i would always just give her the money so she can buy for herself. It's better that way, so we will not argue at the mall.

yes that's right! yeah, sometimes i love shopping alone but when i would buy some apparel for myself i would bring along my sister or my mom to judge my choices.lol it's because i don't have a good taste on clothing my mother would nag on my choices because they are too old fashioned. alright i'm blessed with the body but i prefer the conservative type of clothing. yes, i agree too! that's more practical than spending on the thing you like for them but they won't be using or wearing it. it would be a waste.

I have never heard of this holiday before.I search it online. It is celebrated on November 30 of every year, which commemorates the birthday of Andres Bonifacio who was the father of Philippine Revolution. If only your husband wasn't at work, you should have a good time.

Oh i enjoy my solitude. If my husband is around , i would be busy cooking for foods he like & washing the dishes after. I will not have my complete rest.

Happy Bonifacio Day! Well, it is the first time i know this festival in your country, though i have not checked out the name of the festival in my dictionary yet. But i can know it is very important day for your Filipinos. I like festivals too. Because first, i don't need to work, of course,if i have to work, i can receive 300% salary(i do hope i can have that chance, but most time it is for those leaders and those who working in outside). Another reason i like festival is that i can be with my kids happily. And go to shopping or a park. Everywhere is bustling, one work, i like festival too.

It's not actually a festival, my friend. It is just a legal holiday to commemorate the birthday of one our heroes, Andres Bonifacio in history, who fought for the freedom , we Filipinos are enjoying. Some agencies, commemorate it with a rally, just like what others did yesterday. Anyway, we really welcome legal holidays, because employees like us gets to rest, yet we are paid for it.

I always enjoyed holiday breaks too hehe. Yesterday, I spent the morning writing my case analysis in one of my subjects in the graduate school then in the afternoon, I and my boardmate went to the cinema and watched Breaking Dawn.

Indeed Holidays such as this can give us an avenue to do things out of the usual things we do on weekdays. Hmm, so you have watched Breaking Dawn? How is it? I did enjoy it so much also. I was refreshed.

This is the first time that i tried to enjoy Bonifacio Day. A week before the holiday i told my husband we should go out of town a day before the holiday. We decided to go to Roxas City and sleep there by the beach and enjoy the sea food. We picked up my son at school in the afternoon of the 29th and we drove for 3 hours to Roxas City. We enjoyed night swimming and of course the sea food. Then the next day we swam early in the morning and roam around the city a little before going home at around 2pm. Then we dropped by another town to visit my husband's relatives. We came home night time, exhausted, fulfilled and happy.

Oh that was a happy bonding time you had with your husband and son. Indeed it may be exhausting for the travel time , but then it made you all fullfilled and happy. So i presume this picture was taken on that beach?

I enjoyed this day as well. I thought it's going to be one of those holidays that I sleep in. I planned to work but, as always, when it's a holiday my body also goes on a holiday. A last minute change of plans actually made the difference. My family went to Ayala Triangle to witness the Symphony of Lights and Sounds. It was a sight to behold. Though it took only a couple of minutes, I enjoyed it. Well, it's supposed to have a run every hour from 6PM to 9PM. After that, we're supposed to have a meal in a nearby fastfood but it was jam packed so we decided to go to MarketMarket and dine at Seafood Island. What I really loved about this day is we get to spend some time with our Lolo who seldom goes out of the house. It also gave an opportunity for my cousins and I and the little ones to be together. All in all, it was a great night.

Wow, you really had a wonderful time yesterday.eunique. I envy you for being able to see the Symphony of Lights and Sounds. It was featured on TV so i saw how it is. At least, even if we are in the province, we saw it on TV. But of course , seeing it for real would be much better. At least , your whole family has bonded well, together with your Lolo.

Well, for me, I spent it differently. Tomorrow (Dec 1) is my birthday so I just took the time to celebrate it today so that majority of my friends and relatives can join in the celebration. For tomorrow, I will probably just spend it with my family. Today, we went out and have some swimming time and it was totally fun! Such a relaxing way to bond and celebrate this day!

Hi there SIMPLYD, I also have a nice time today. Though I am not after the holiday since I am working as a freelancer. I accompany my sister in buying ingredients for her baking needs. We went to Chocolate Lovers. Maybe you are aware of that store since you are also a Filipino. After that, we went to supermarket and brought some additional stuffs. Plus we have our coffee at one of the coffee shop around. It was really tiring but it is indeed an enjoying moment.

Bonifacio Day,my friend, is the natal day of Gat Andres Bonifacio one of our heroes in the Philippines. It was him who started the KKK ( i forgot what it stands for). It is an civic organization, where all the members are called Katipuneros. They fought for our freedom from the conquerors, Spaniards i think. Yes, i had a good day yesterday. Thank you.

This holiday is a very much welcome rest for me. Now I only have to endure two more days of stressful work for the weekends to come over! Good thing that you are enjoying the holiday too! However, I must be enjoying this day too now because I am sure tomorrow will be a tiring day ahead because I have to finish my monthly report due to the month end. But still, this holiday break will be a nice energy booster for me to work cheerfully and full of energy for tomorrow! I hope there will be a more holidays to come. I could have spent my holiday in the office today but I choose not to because I really wanted to play my favorite sport, do some clean up in my room, rest and of course, do some myLotting! Cheers to the holiday and the person who made this holiday possible, Ka Andres!

Oh so you have your canteen and your kids. At least, this Holiday gets you rested also. That's good. I also overslept, because my husband and i watched TV shows until midnight. It's our chance of watching some nice shows, without having to worry that we will wake up early the next day, for our jobs.

Because today is a holiday, I woke up very late during lunchtime. I am always like that. I am very happy since I have no classes. What I only did today is I invited my boyfriend in our house and we watched a movie. It is also a perfect day to spend it with him. I want to make him happy even just for simple things. Now, I have to rest since classes resume tomorrow. Goodnight.

Holiday for me means, additional hardtimes to deal with my kids *lol. No school = they will play psp, watch cartoons and the worst is to take advantage in the internet... Rowdy yet happy! With regards with my working husband, he decided to go on work this holiday to give back on his leave last monday because he feels not fit to work that day. Same routine for me at home, plus the additional load that my kids will bring in today!
@SIMPLYD (90722)

Yes, if you are a stay at home mom, holiday would mean additional load, because the kids are there to play and make "kulit". Nonetheless, having them at home is a happy bonding time . Right? I am relieved our daughter is big now, and is in Manila, studying medicine. Now, we have more time for ourselves.

As i have heard from the TV, which we keep switched on at DZMM, today is Bonifacio's natal day. He was born 1863. That means he is 148 years old, had he been alive today. Thank you Gat Andres for helping us have our freedom from the conquestadores.

In a word , I will not stay home . hahha ,But your plan is also great because you enjoy it a lot . Have a nice day my friend.
