Headache is a very common fact present in all. Some develop chronic headache at a very tender age. Some develop headache when they reach puberty. Some suffer from partial head aches. Not everybody sees a doctor when she gets a headache. Mostly people use home remedies. Some take warm water bath and simply go to bed. Some take cold water bath and take rest. Some get relief from the headache when they vomit. So indigestion too may cause headache. Some use ointments like Vicks, Amruthanjan, (India) Tigerbalm, Eucalyptic Balm or oil then the Ayurvedic science offers so many varities of pain killing oils and pills. Some take sedetive drops and pills like Emflam Plus or Brufen. Is there a permanent remedy for a headache?

I use acupressure first then if that doesn't work (some types of headaches don't respond well to acupressure) I'll try aspirin. Here is a link about acupressure for headaches: http://www.livestrong.com/article/154948-pressure-points-for-headaches/ The hand point on the webbing between the thumb and forefinger works extremely fast if applied properly. That is if your fingernails are not too long and you press hard enough it helps in about 30 seconds. If your fingernails are too long you'll need to use a blunt object. The weird thing is you feel a hard lump at first. The lump softens about the same time the headache goes away. You may have to do both hands too.

Headache home remedy. Heat and cold For some people with headache it's one, with some it's another. Experiment, but avoid extremes, which can make things worse! Try a cold pack wrapped in a couple layers of towel on your neck. One of my favourites is putting your hands in hot water, which seems to pull the pressure out of your head. It's also a good excuse to do the dishes before your headache gets much worse! :-)

When i was still having my kids at home i got headaches almost daily. I used tynol extra strength and got to bed as soon as i could. Strangly enough the headaches went away after all my 2 kids left home. Ive hardly had one since.

Yes,You are correct srjac, I think there is no permanent remedy for a headache because if we get worried too much it will definitely starts. In SRI SRI RAVISANKAR'S SUDARSANAKRIYA if we practice we get much relief. When headache starts i also usually vomit, whatever medicines i take. But after practicing this sudarsana kriya i have got good results.

I almost always have a headache everyday. I refrain from taking anything right away but when it gets too painful I usually take acetamenophen/paracetamol and get some rest. Rubbing vicks, etc on the temples does wonders, too.

I have migraines and I use a home remedy. I mix a 1/4 cup of honey and a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in a 48 oz jug of juice of choice.Mix up really good.I drink a shot glass of this morning and night.I have not had a migraine in over a year. The only headache I have had lately is from cutting back on caffeine.I drank a cup of coffee and was fine.Bit I swear by the acv, honey drink.Best medicine there is.For me anyway.

I seldom have headaches if it will take days and not much will happen. Mostly I try to drink more water (way more) and sometimes I try ibuprofen high dose over 500.. thing is most painkillers etc don't work for me anymore since years, so taking them is useless.
