Is the promise of more money a motivation to write more articles?

Expertscolumn sends an email to all writers about the increased earning rate for December. The email states that they are almost doubling the payout for page views. That means writers can earn almost double. Would you write more articles if you are given such a promise? Basically it is a promise of more money.

I think I would? Maybe I should start writing? How does it compare with Triond?

Thanks! I have joined, and as I have time I will transfer some articles and see what happens. If it goes well than I will repost all my articles and maybe even start writing again.

I guess I should give it a try especially since we can repost articles. I think if I found a place where I could actually earn some good money I might be motivated to write a bit more. Does one also earn by getting referrals? If so, send me your link.

Hi 1hopefulman, yes, there is a 10% for referral. You can check my profile here, the link is there. I think you can repost all your content, and see how it goes. The best working strategy is still to post in Triond, and then in Expertscolumn. No harm getting more income from one article.

I added 5 articles this month and Expertscolumn really do what they promised. I noticed that my earnings increases.

Hi Jaderamirez, I am very happy with my earnings there too. I get about five dollars every week in this month. Even if the promotion is over, I think I can still make about ten dollars per month, even without adding new articles. I hope to have at least ten dollars every month in passive. It is great to login occasionally, and request for payouts.

I would certainly write more - you are basically being offered double the money for the same amount of work so have nothing to lose and some extra spending money to gain - particularly useful for the holiday season! Any opportunity to earn extra money should be taken full advantage of, especially considering the unstable economic situation in the world at the moment.

Hi Magickat, the only problem is that December is traditionally a slow month for page views. Many people are not working, and they do not use the Internet to read articles. Even then, the double earning rate does help to motivate writers to write more, and get more readers. I agree that we should take full advantage to earn more, even though we do not have to spend all on festive seasons.

I think that it will motivate a lot of people to write more for this site. I like this site and have been paid by them. I think there may be a lot more articles appearing soon on this website. If anyone is in doubt about writing this is really a good site and it is quite easy so if you are looking to try your hand at writing now is a good time to try it out.

Hi Soapies, yes, it is a good site. I will request for second payout soon, since I just have a few more cents to reach the minimum payout. With the promotion in December, I will reach the third payout before the end of the month. That will really come in handy for Chinese New Year, which comes less than a month after Christmas.

Good piece of informative question. LOL. If you are selling your product, first you give them some offer, some discounts and then additional free gifts etc to attract more customers. I feel that is the policy being applicable with the sites too. More earning for more writing/ views. I don't mind to write more if there is more earning.

Hi Viju, yes, that is a good trick to get writers to work harder. Even if you do not write more, you will work harder to get more page views. I think the intention of the writing site is to encourage more articles, as well as more page views from submitting to various social bookmarking and networking websites. The webmaster will still earn even after paying out to the players.

Promising more money is a big motivation indeed, but in the end you'll find yourself writing just for the fun or just for speaking yourself out, and soon enough you'll forget about the money and start more focusing on new and interesting topics to talk about.

Hi Sam, not all writers will increase their writings, since the payment is for page views, not the number of articles. Some writers are better with article promotion. They just have to work harder to get more views to the existing articles. I think doubling the rate for page views is a good idea, since we can choose to write more and/or get more views.

Why of course! I don't write at expertscolumn, but if any of the sites I write at doubled the pay I would try my best to write more that month. Money is about the only thing that motivates me to write lately, I don't have time to do it just for fun!

Hi Vivasuzi, same here, if a site pays, and another site does not pay, I would definitely write for paid site. No point writing for fun, and let the webmaster earns. Fortunately I have joined Expertscolumn in the month of October, so I have some content to earn passive income. It will be a bit late to start writing, since passive income takes a bit more time to build up.

Practically yes. It looks like an incentive. When the pay rises even by one cent, it makes a difference. The experience may not be the same for all. But it is a true fact

Hi Srjac, yes, even a one-cent increase can make us very happy. Now the incentive is double earning potential. I think it really makes a difference when the webmaster comes with this scheme. If only mylot has similar scheme, then we will really have a good reason to cheer for the coming Christmas season.

Hmm Interesting question. I think it depends. If you are working for a decent company that says they will definetly pay you more to write more articles, then sure. But I don't want you have super high hopes on that and it all comes falling down. Just keep on writing more articles and not giving up and you'll earn more money. Unless you are freelancing for them and you probably should change your rate pay. Lets just say, just keep on writing high quality articles and they should pay you more. And I would definetly write more articles if I know a decent company would pay me more extra to write articles.

Hi Webgirl, I can see that you do not really know what Expertscolumn is all about! It is actually a writing site that pays for page views. The rate is slightly lower than $1.50 per 1000 page views. Even with the double rate, the earning might be just $2.50 per 1000 page views or more. When you write an article, you hold the copyright to it. You can decide to edit, delete or just park there to earn page views. It does not require exclusive rights, and that means you can publish the same article elsewhere. This site definitely pays, and i had received the payout just two hours after requesting for it.

Yes, it is. Money is good motivation to write more articles. I am even more excited to write discussion and it feels like I never want to quit. Every time, I saw my earning, it doubled my spirit to write. I think money has the power to do more.

Hi Sijabatnaburjut, I am more excited to see the page views and earnings adding up after a long absence. Just last night, I login to Infobarrel, a site that I have not been active for months. I can see that the earning is still adding up. The page views of some articles already exceeded a thousand views, and that is without added promotion from me. in fact, I never did anything once I stopped writing there.

I have recently joined them ... And surely this kind of offers are always tempting ... So yes I am going to write more their.. And also thanks for informing here as I am not that active online because of offline work so wasn't checking mails too... But will be active in this month.. So surely I am going to take this opportunity.

Hi Akp, I joined them not too long ago, less than two months. i think with the promotion of double rate for December, I should be able to reach two more payouts, hopefully before Christmas. Chinese New Year is coming, and I really hope to have more money to buy goodies. The minimum payout of five dollars means a lot.

Hi Ohid2u, I would write more too. Expertscolumn pays by page views, and since I have posted some articles already, I would have earned even without more effort. But then, more money is still better than nothing at all. I will try to write a few more articles, and upload for passive income.

Hi Airkulet, unfortunately Mylot does not have such good offer anymore. I think if Mylot were to double the payment, we would be getting more than twenty dollars in a month. Now I am hoping that Triond has a December challenge, with 30% bonus payment. It has been very quiet for a long time.

Yes! Everybody wants to earn more money that's why they are doing that promotion. To motivate it members to do more and work harder. The best way to motivate is through money.

Hi Champoy, yes, that is true. All those badges that other writing sites are having are just good for show, but does not affect the earning at all. I think money is really a good motivator. Even when a person just put in some effort at first, he will work harder when he sees the earning adding up.

Of course I'll try to write more for more money! But that place has to wait, I have a heavy load right now. I haven't even gotten back there to clean up what I've posted a week ago. I might have to stay at the computer longer for a few days to get it squared away, it just seems I have no time but with this email I got today it looks as if I'll have to make some time!

Hi Dragon54u, December is a long month. I think if you add in a couple of articles per week, that will help a lot towards reaching the minimum payout. I am very near to the second payout, and should be able to reach the third payout now that they double the rate for page impressions. Hopefully I can get the fourth payout in December as well.
