The Faces of Chester

As many of you know, we have recently moved to a new town. We left our Misty behind and found a home for Oliver but brought our Chester with us. He travels well in the car. When he was tiny, we couldn't leave him home alone for the first few weeks we had him because he was just too small to leave on his own. I had a couple of road trips at that time and so he came with us, tucked into my shirt. As a result, he has become our "car kitty". Many's the time I would be heading out to pick up my daughter or run an errand and he would "insist" on accompanying me. So the trip here was nothing for him. My daughter held him in her lap and made sure he didn't climb up onto the dash or wander anywhere that might interfere with my driving. At one point I glanced over and busted out laughing! He had such a comical look on his face! His eyes were closed and he seemed relaxed completely except that his mouth was opened into a big, toothy grin! I wished I'd had a camera ready to catch that Kodak moment, believe you me! It was like something that someone had photoshopped! Do your kitties ever strike your funny bone like that? Please share your stories that have made you laugh out loud at your cats.

Hobo, who's pix is on my profile, had such a sad looking face, until you started scratching the top of his head. Then he just seemed to smile! That's what finally broke through his fear and reminded him that once people weren't so bad, and I became his new best friend - soon replaced with Maggiepie, who would hold him for hours!

How fun. Aren't cats entertaining, though?
