Time to not be honest

hello, It is depends on the situation because there are times that when you are lying because you really need to and you have to. But if you are lying just because of your benefit or for an illegal things obviously not acceptable.

In most situation, telling the truth is always the best policy. However in certain special occasion, one may need to tell lies. Don't lie if you don't know how to. People can identify if you lied, unless you are professional. Anyway, always consider to tell the truth first.

There are really a lot of factors to consider whether lying would be acceptable than telling the truth but I think a lot of people would agree that there are indeed instances wherein not telling the truth would be better in certain situations. But there would still be those whose religious beliefs would not permit the act of lying.

JER616 have already given you a good answer I just want to add another example where I think lying can be acceptable, sometimes when we are trying to give our girlfriend/boyfriend a surprise visit/party/gift or whatever we need to lie about it first until the day that you supposed to give/do the surprise right?

I will answer you back with another question: "Would you tell the truth to a young kid the truth when she/he ask you where did she/he come from?" "When someone is looking for your parents or someone you love, and you know that someone is out to kill them, would you tell the truth?"
