forget:"what you did good for others and what others did bad to you". remember:"what you did bad for others and what others did good for you". Then life will be happy... Simple but so hard to do.

Wonderful advice, but like you said, hard to live by. I will keep it in mind though, because when one thinks the other way around, "what I did good for others and what other had done bad to me." Leads to anger and bitterness..

Yea,it does sound hard to do haha But I also think we shouldn't be too harsh on ourselves for our mistake but learn from them and try not to do them again. Otherwise I do agree with you. Happy holidays! :)

I agree, it's very hard. I agree with ygna21 that we have to learn from our mistakes when we do bad to others. I think our lives are better when we remember the positive things others do for us. I just responded something like this on another thread that we should forgive what others do to us. That's not easy to do, mostly because you want to forgive but not forget because the person might do it again and you don't want to be a punching bag all the time. Yet, you don't want to keep remembering the bad because you might get mad and then start not forgiving all over again like a cycle. It's like a quote I saw on Facebook, that "when you keep a grudge and keep being mad at a person, then you are letting that person live in your mind without paying rent. It is also hard on the health. I am the kind of person who continually fights in my mind what people have done to me. So now, my blood pressure rises because I get mad at something somebody did to me. It's not worth it.

Once we can manage to reach the stage as what you described, for sure we shall be happy without the hate in our life. This philosophy is very simple. Due to the instinct of the human-beings, we are always repeating the same mistake in our life. If we stop excusing ourselves and correct our mistakes seriously, for sure we shall be able to reach the stage as you described earlier.
