lucas must bury his dream for giving contribution for his team, Liverpool.. his injury push him for not playing until the end of season.. i think it`s big blow for Liverpool and Kenny Daglish.. Lucas had played his role with well when he become a good defender midfielder.. do you think the absence of Lucas can influence Liverpool performance??

I think this season Lucas has really looked like the player Liverpool wanted him to be. His contributions have been very good in the holding job. With this injury, I think Jordan Henderson would now have to shoulder this responsibility. Let's see how this affects Liverpool's chances this season. Cheers! Ram

I was wondering if Lucas was still a regular starting lineup, but now I know he was. Based on your response, he was vital in defensive midfield, and I guess he has helped the offensive play also. In this case, his absence may weigh more than many would expect.

He wasn't a regular at the start of the season. But once he got back into the squad, he cemented his place. Now unfortunately, this injury leaves him out again. Cheers! Ram

I don't know if Lucas was currently a regular starting player at Liverpool, because I don't watch Premier League games, but I know that Lucas was an important player last season, when I have seen some games of Liverpool. If he was a regular first eleven player, then his absence will certainly affect the performance of Liverpool. But I am sure that Liverpool has enough quality players to compensate the long absence of one of their key players.

when Gerard still was injured, Lucas and Adam is the regularly player in the midfielder...Lucas as defender midfielder.. yeah, maybe.. but we do hope that Kenny Daglish get a player who had same quality like Lucas

I think the problem with the new player will be that he still needs to accustom to Liverpool's way of playing. Lucas was there for a few years now and because he was a regular first eleven player, he will be hard to compensate.

This is certainly a joke for Liverpool. Brunt of the jokes during Rafa Benitez era but since Kenny Dalgish took over, the player has improved by leaps and bounds. He did a good job shield the defenders and harassing the opposition midfield. His absence will be keenly felt.
