India have continued their impressive run in the champions challenge hockey tournament in South Africa. India riding on two penalty conversions from drag flicker Sandeep Singh defeated hosts South Africa 4-2. India thus set up title clash with Belgium who managed to get better of Argentina through penalty shootout. India's forwards are doing good job. If their defense can hold Belgium, India should be able to lift the title. Discuss India's chances of winning the champions challenge hockey final. Thanks.

Hi Was watching the match. And its too sad that India loose the finals. They surely having the upper hand in the match but in the last few minutes Belgium played very well and win the match. I don't used to watch the hockey more but today I was watching it with my uncle. It was a very good match. Unfortunately we loose. But I enjoyed it.

Hello, you summed up the mood beautifully. Yes, sad India could have easily won the finals if they were bit more disciplined. I had mentioned about our defense crumbling under sustained pressure. But credit also needs to be given to Belgium for a polished performance. Hope young Indian team will be better for the experience. Hoping for much improved performance from them in Olympics qualifiers. Cheers!

Now the final is over and India lost after taking a lead of 3-1, for 3-4. India need to change the tactics of the match holding attacking game even after taking lead to make opponent in more pressure.

I thought it was better to watch the match than to discuss about the chances. Though India lost the match eventually, it was a match worth watching. India was playing good and again it is the same problem of consistency of form throughout the match. But at the end of the day we can surely say, they lost but played well.

It is turning out to be an excellent final. We are into the final 13 minutes of the game and the scores are tied at 3-3. India had taken a 2-0 and 3-1 lead, before Belgium really fought hard and are now back in the final at 3-3. It sets up a thrilling final few minutes. It would be good to see if India can calm down and come back in this match. Currently Belgium are threatening to run away with the match. Cheers! Ram
