Govt of India try to regulate social networking site

The Government will soon formulate guild line to regulate content on social networking web site.
The IT Minister, Mr Kapil Sibal said that There is need to regulate social networking site because there so many objectionable content on these site.
Friends what do u think, " This is right step or wrong. Do you not think it,s impact our right of speak.

The govt. is trying to divert the people's attention from the main issues like rising prices of food .
I think this is precaution taken by them to decrease the impact of Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal Movement but I am sure this is going to back fire on govt.

It's wrong.
The government should have guidelines (such as no promoting terrorist activity, that kind of extreme stuff) but they should keep their noses out of what people say and do as long as it doesn't put anyone at risk.
The companies who run the social sites are responsible for the content. It's up to them to set the rules.

I know there are needs for certain regulations but I think this one is a little too much. It will have an impact on the right to speak and not fair for people who use these social sites. I do hope that they don't decide to regulate it too harshly.

I think it is wrong. They want to do that here in the U.S. It's wrong because the internet is universal. Why do we have to be restricted. I am beginning to think we live in a communist world. How screwed up is that. I believe the internet should be left uncensored.
