Unsafe act prevention

I found that many road users seems don’t care about safety while they are on the road. They tend to rush or underestimate the danger because they have already pass through same road every day or usually never found any accident. They tend to do shortcut if possible just to reduce traveling time, sometimes people cut cross from left to ride at the road junction or penetrate traffic light at night when road is empty. We will never know something will happened since they rushing to go to work or school. This could be prevent with strict law but seems it should come back to personal awareness . What do you think? Any idea to prevent such unsafe act..?

an idea of prevention is always good. yes, peoples are unrestimating the danger while crossing the road. they cross the road while the traffic is still on. and they just cross it, tacking cars and trucks from the front. and without feeling the real danger.

In Kerala we have much laws and regulations. What is the sue of it ? Without obeying it what is the use ? I wounder where is the police ? and where the laws are ? I think rich think that the laws are only for the poor. The people who are rich just ride the vehicle with much fast without any limit. The people doesn't matter whether it kills any one. What a condition. Sorry I don't know what to do. What a situation !

Hi omchesunche, Yes, driving carelessly or recklessly is a potential danger to all road users be it motorists or pedestrians. But not all of these drivers are downright inconsiderate. Some people are in a hurry and may not be aware or think that anything can happen to them. I think the authority can play a huge part by first educating the drivers of the need to drive safely. Make them fully aware of the dangers and consequence of their action. The authority must also have a strict penalty system i.e. imposing hefty fines, suspension or even jail terms for the incalcitant violators. I'm quite certain that by implementing such measures, the accident rate can be reduced dramatically. Have a safe journey!
