The speculation are rife with the news in world media that Pakistan is under possible military coup. President Asif Ali Zardari's flying to Dubai to attend to helath problem after suffering a minor attack on Tuesday added to the speculations. The Pakistan Govt. sources , however strongly denied the news of possible coup stating that President Zardari's flying out of Pakistan is purely health based and would be reurning to the country soon. Pakistan has got the history of military coups right from its inception. President Zardari was under tremendous pressure at home due to the recent attacks by American forces on Pakistan based militants and possible injury to the civillians due to these attacks. Your comments on the issue please.

Thank you lijoos. That is always the case the problems are created for the quest for the power by the politicians and military and the country with the masses will suffer.

Yes, you are right. The speculation of another military coup in Pakistan is ripe as President Asif Ali Zardari did not resist the murder of Osama Bin laden on the holy soil of Pakistan. The army is not pleased with the role of Asif Ali Zardari as the President during that operation of America to kill Osama and this may be a possible cause for the military coup in Pakistan. And this frequent coups in that country is possible as there is no true democracy there, democracy in Pakistan is only on papers and never a reality in practical life.

You are very true didi. That country is always dominated by the military men even in democratic set up. To add to assassination of Osama Bin Laden there are frequent attack by American military forces these days which has killed a lot of civilians along with militants as claimed by Pakistan media. This has angered the military men and must have decided to topple Zardari Govt.

Hello there... Every ruler in Pakistan has won elections on the 'hate India' promo. Their military is highly supportive of it and in that country, military is almost the Govt., along with ISI. They have many issues related to their common man, but they don't pay attention. So even though thousands are dying of hunger, Pakistan govt. will invest in weapons than providing food for their common people. Each of their dictator either got assassinated or killed in accidents(?) or were sent to jail. If the present situation is true, then a new goat will be sacrified by Pak military- President Zardari... LOL... I only hope that they get a democratic ruler, because if army took over then there'll be another war...

Thank you mr_pearl. It is true the survival of Govt. and their getting elected to form the govts. is based on hate India policy but that is not the case with common man in Pakistan. I have come across a number of Pakistanis in a third country and we have been very friendly. my best friend had been a Pakistani. It is the politicians who spread this India Pakistan hatred towards their selfish goals.

Too many Musharaf wannabe in Pakistanis army, they don't like democratic institution and under the control of civilian goverment, all those army Generals want to be tyrant and like to place Pakistan under seige in the name of defending the land against extremists. Pakistan had gone thro' many military coup to topple civilian government, if it happen again, it is no surprise at all. Their army officers are like bandits rather than professional soldiers that don't respect any rule and law at all.
