Teach Me How To Create a Discussion

I had just started here in mylot for 1 week. I enjoy mylot, a lot. And I was so confuse on what was the purpose of discussions area. I really don't know. I've commented on some discussions and I think the purpose for this is to share what you want to, Ask anything you like to ask. Can you tell what's the real purpose of the discussion area?
I was really struggled looking for the create discussion tab. Now I found it. hehehe

Hi. Personally, sharing one's opinion is the purpose of the discussions here regardless of how trivial the topic is. I would however read the guidelines on posting topics. Sharing one's opinion here has however some limitations :) We need to abide by certain rules. How do you create a discussion? You just did. :) Welcome to myLot.

I am just curious about your question..what do you mean by "the tags are guidelines violation"? you mean one of the tags in the discussion is "guidelines violation"? If it is maybe another mylotter thinks that the discussion violated a mylot rule/guidelines and he/she have probably reported it to admin, if the discussion indeed violates a mylot rule then admin will delete the entire discussion including all the responses and comments in that discussion.

Well i do it in these steps :
1.Picking a topic - its something i have on my mind , or something i feel , something i want to share or just get something i want to talk about .
2.I type tons of not needed text :D Somehow i like to detail every little thing , and at the end it goes something more then most people can read :P So they normally might not read it .
3.Pick a nice Topic . The main thing people read to get to your discussion is the Heading or topic . Normally i put questions and people without really needing to read my post to answer simply .
4.I put some picture because i like it :)
Thats how i overall do it :) But everyone is for themselfs :P

Yes, rusale, anyone can add an image to illustrate a discussion they are starting. You have to reach a 'user rating' of 500 before you can add images to responses and comments.
Make sure that the image you want to add is legally yours to use. Most images which you may download off the Internet are copyright to someone or other, so be careful. Also make sure that the image is relevant to the discussion topic and that it illustrates or adds something useful to the discussion.

First of all welcome here in mylot. The purpose of discussion here is to share/exchange thoughts, opinion, emotion as your outlet, advice and making friends as well. To interact with everyone here of course you should need to join discussion or make your own discussion. It should not be just asking just any kind but be sure it is a good and has quality in it so you will not be consider as spamming. When i say quality, it must be good and with sense. Something like everyone can relate and learn. For example if you just ask what is your favorite color? well obviously that is not of good qaulity, it will be consider nonsense and spamming. Just find one you can response that you can make good advice or share thoughts. I hope this helps. Happy mylotting!

Rusale you can start the discussion on funny topic, on any news topic, any incident which is occured with you etc. But dont started the discussion on marriage, anniversary and birthday related topic. All information can be read from guideline link.

Good for you that you found out the new discussion button. Your right about the discussions, but you forgot something, you can actually earn from those discussions.

You are welcome to create any topics of discussions and as many that you wanted to share to others, long as you are not violating the rules here, then whatever you have in mind that you think it would be a great help posting here, then go for it and you will just be surprise how many comments you will be reading just from that one post you have made. :-)
