cholesterol and egg

In my country, effects of cholesterol on human body is very controversial issue. Some scientists argue that cholesterol has hazardous effects on human body. On the other hand, some could argue that cholesterol has no effects on human body. People can eat many eggs and meats as much as you can comfortably because even if they causes high level of cholesterol, since it has no effects on human body, these meals only give benefits for our body. How could we find the right way?

What I have read is that too much cholesterol can do harm to the body. I believe that too much of anything is really bad for our health. Everything should just be in moderation.

I think eating vegetables and fruits would be more than enough to counter the bad effect cholesterol gives to our body. Someone I know is nearing her 90s because her diet mainly consisted of fish and vegetables. She always eat banana and her eyes can see well as result. If not for the outer look she might be confused as on her 40s.

hello tkarabulut.......The views of scientist are changing all the time. Some times they tell us not to eat eggs, sometimes they say it is harmless. Few days ago I read that even soya is not healthy for us, while before they had filled up pages with the benefits of soya to our body. Also they write we should drink 8 glasses of water everyday, and the other day I read an article which said a girl had kidney failure due to over drinking of water. I have now come to the conclusion that we should eat everything but in limits. Body needs everything in small quantity, so lets eat balance food.......little of each, like cereal, vegetables, meat, egg , sugar.......everything, but in limits.....lets be our own doctor

I made a lot of research about the risk associated to high cholesterol level since my lab results provide that I have high cholesterol. This is in a way beneficial to ponder upon with regard to the issue, High levels of LDL leads to blockage in the arteries by forming plaque, which increases the risk of a heart attack. In addition to a higher risk of heart attack, having high cholesterol also increases the risk for strokes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and an irregular heart rhythm.

Whatever the finding is, why would we want to take the risk to eat something that may harm our body? I believe every one of us is different in our body composition. Some food may have certain effect on someone more obvious than others. There were many cases where the terminally ill patient that a doctor had thought would live only for a few months, lived on for many years. It doesn't mean that the doctor was wrong. The doctor's diagnosis was based on what he found out from the patient's body. By normal occurrence, averagely it is the case but human body is a wonder. There are just so many things that we still don't know. So whether cholesterol is harmful to our body - yes, I think it is, but the effect may not be the same with all the people. My advice is: Try to keep it within the healthy level. You don't need to take the gamble with your health.

I have been eating egg for my breakfast for sometimes and so far the last time I checked my cholesterol was even lower than normal. I wouldn't stop eating an egg once in while no matter what they say. I prefer not eating meat than an egg. For those who are concerned about the cholesterol, you can alway eat the white part of the egg.
