WI won Though they Lost the Series

December 11, 2011 11:32am CST
The series is over now and India enjoyed a fabulous win of 4-1. But at the end of the matches WI can really be proud of the younger side they brought to play against the Sub Continent. During the initial two matches it was felt as if they would not be able to survive the pressure of playing against one of the best teams in the world but they proved to be strong enough to keep all the speculations aside by defeating India in one match and also putting up remarkable fights in other ODIs.

I think it was a good tour overall for the West Indies from a learning curve perspective. Youngster Darren Bravo stood out during the test matches. Similarly, Russel and Pollard stood out finally in the ODIs. But I think Windies need to decide on the status of Darren Sammy and his role in this team. I think that would be a part of their rebuilding process. Cheers! Ram

Hi, You said it. They need to think about the configuration of the team now. They have lot of talented players and now its the authorities to decide on how to field them and make best use of each and every player.

I was also having little about the pressure. I think that the match will be boring but the game was with pressure on both sides. I also think that West Indies had played well to have a winning match.
